You'll Never Have to Throw Away Your Blunt Umbrella, Or Lose It

Blunt Umbrellas were your runner-up for best in the category back in 2015. They’re also by far the best looking umbrella on the market, and now they have Tile support.

Blunt Umbrellas are known for the safety tips, which prevent you from poking out the eyes of other pedestrians, as much as you might want. These rounded edges also give Blunts a modern look that puts them far above the competition when it comes to aesthetics.

The Blunt Classic has been tested for up to 80mph winds, while the smaller Metro can handle 55mph.

When I heard that Blunt Umbrellas now had “Tile integration”, I have to admit I was expecting Tile’s tracking tech to be built into the umbrella’s handle, similar to the recent execution by Nomad.

As it turns out, there’s a pocket on one of the safety tips for holding the Tile (or any tracker). Still a great idea, but not as exciting as an umbrella handle with built-in tracking and micro USB to recharge. Blunt did ship some limited editions that bundled a Tile, but those appear to be discontinued.

If there’s a complaint to make about Blunt, it’s that they don’t currently play in the ultracompact umbrella space, and we’re excited to see their entries there in the future.
