Oontz Angle 3
Great sound, battery lasts a long time - I use it in my shower daily, and the battery only needs to be charged every 3 months or so.
The only thing I don’t like about it - they didn’t double the duty of the + and - to allow you to skip tracks like an older BT speaker I owned did - MPA
The Oontz Angle has my vote, too. I own the original and this one. Great sound, solid as a rock, and cheap (currently $27 on Amazon, and I got my for $20 on sale).
Plus, as their marketing images suggest, it’s great for break dancing. - brnpttmn
JBL Charge 3
Is this even a competition? The JBL charge 3 blows all of these out of the water. Ha. Get it? Seriously though it does, I’ve been collecting portable speakers for quite a few years now and for a reasonable price the charge 3 doesn’t have competition in terms of water resistance, sound and build quality. - Tom
This thing is awesome. I’m an audio engineer and I compared a bunch of bluetooth speakers when I was in the market. I had the original JBL Charge and then last year got the Charge 3. Amazing sound, 20 hour battery (!!!), able to charge other devices with the built in USB port (hence the name), IPX7 waterproof. I took it with me tubing on the river with a bunch of people last summer and showed off by dunking it in the water several times with no break in the music. Can’t recommend it enough. - Dan R

UE BOOM 2
UE Boom 2. UE has a great water resistant line of speakers, the UE Roll 2, UE Boom 2, and UE Megaboom. UE Boom 2 hits the sweet spot(s) of both price and sound for size with better bass than the Roll. Fits in a cupholder, backpack, suitcase just fine, 360 sound, 10 hours battery life, and Waterproof to boot. it’s just the best. - BurkeDaniels
