Update 7/15/17: BaKblade’s back, alright!
BakBlade has returned with double the blades, and an ergonomic and bendable handle that allows for a folding design. Most importantly, it’s even more efficient and just as painless.
The incredibly unfortunately spelled BaKblade removes back hair with ease and efficiency.
There aren’t a lot of great ways to get rid of back hair that aren’t expensive (waxing) or painful (also waxing). The best way to go about it, besides the BaKblade, has been to have a partner use a Philips Bodygroom on your back.
I bought the BaKblade based on a reader recommendation in our 2013 shaving guide. It works shockingly well, and has been hanging in my bathroom ever since.
While the effectiveness can’t be overstated, it’s really the efficiency of the BaKblade that’s key. We’re talking under a minute to get to a 95% cleanly shaved back.
