Encouraging men to wear sweatpants “all day every day” is a dangerous game, but Public Rec nailed it.
Public Rec offers the full range of comfortable clothes, from shorts and sweatpants to polos and henleys, in nylon and spandex blends, and in cuts that find a happy middle ground that’s neither sloppy nor constricting. I tried everything they make except the outerwear.
The sweatpants are the highlight here, with zipper pockets, an elastic waistband, tapered legs, and a comfortable but not cavernous crotch. I personally wouldn’t wear these to work, but you can definitely confidently wear them outside. There are some great colorways available across the board here, including an excellent heather burgundy.
The inseam of their shorts is a good four inches longer than I’d normally go for, but even then they look great, and include those same roomy, zippered pockets.
If you’re in need of some new afterwork wear, don’t hesitate to stock up.
