Greats is recycling their Royale Knit style in more ways than one: Not only is the popular, breezy design available once again for men and women just in time for summer, but it is also now made from recycled-single use and ocean plastics.
According to the brand, each shoe’s knit upper is constructed out of the equivalent of seven plastic water bottles, and overall, Greats will be removing 75,000 plastic bottles and other plastic materials from the ocean with their latest release. The Royale Knit’s sustainable makeover isn’t only limited to the shoe itself; the shoe is also packaged in 100% recycled materials.
