I’m a devoted loyalist of the Uniball Jetstream. I horde them and refuse all entreaties by friends, family, and colleagues to borrow ‘em. They are a brilliant, smooth writing instrument. Read more

I bought a singular Uniball JetStream one day while on a supply run at Staples because I liked the look of it and the fact that it was, at the time, on sale. The next day I used it at work and I like it so much I went back to Staples after work that night and bought 6 more. That was around 6 months ago and since then Read more

I used to use G2 all the time when I was in school. I wouldn’t exactly say it’s budget when you can totally live off pens that cost only a few cents, though. Read more

The G2 is my fav of these. I actually have the non-disposable G2 as my “daily driver” pen, it fits my hand and grip better than the cheaper disposable ones. And actually, you don’t have to dispose of them when empty, they ARE refillable. Read more

I hate these. As well as these pens typically write, the hard plastic knurled grip hurts my knuckles to the point I cannot use them.

Only problem with these pens is thermal paper - IE, signing credit card receipts from those small card reader/printers typically found in smaller stores.

I actually tried a fountain pen for the first time a year ago, and while it may not be the most practical choice, I find myself loving how smooth they write, and how I don't find myself having to press as firmly on the page as I do with a ball point pen. Read more

The Zebra hands down, one of my first finally cracked on the threads after 20 years. I have several for home/work/etc... For work love the fine point for being able to write small in tight spaces (lots of big words/phrases to cram in documemts). It didn’t make the cut, but as a lefty, the Bic Atlantis has been my go-to for a decade. Cheap, last forever, comfortable to write with, and don’t smear when you drag the side of your palm across because of your recessive genes. Read more

I like the way the Zebras write, but I’ve never had one where the plastic threads that keep the tip on haven’t stripped themselves, rendering the pen useless. I have a drawer full of half-used Zebra refills from pens that self-destructed. Read more
