The only pen that worked for me (no skipping and no smearing) is the Energel by Pentel. The G-2 and the Zebra both skipped and skipped. Space pen is too small. I’ll have to try the new Sharpie.

I am confused why everyone loves the G2 and feel like I am not using the same G2. It seems you have to wait at least a minute before the ink is dry. I always end up with just as much ink on my hand as I do on my paper. Read more

Something most don’t consider in that the space pen is actually great for dirty work. I always prefer mine to a pencil when doing any construction or woodwork. Because the ink is pressurized, the tip doesn’t gum up like a normal pen, and the things are all steel, and super durable.
