TOP TECH DEALS

If you spend $25 on products shipped and sold by Amazon.com today, you can add a bag of their Sweet ‘n’ Cheesy popcorn for free. I’ve got nothing else to add, it’s free popcorn, people.

There are only a handful of USB battery packs out there with USB-C Power Delivery, and this is the lowest price we’ve ever seen on one of them.

$56 gets you RAVPower’s 26,800mAh battery pack, complete with a 30W USB-C port that can power a MacBook or Nintendo Switch at basically full speed, plus two regular USB ports as well. We posted a deal on a very similar Anker battery pack recently that cost more (though it did come with a USB-C Power Delivery wall charger, no small thing), and either one would be a great companion on a long flight.

eBay’s running another of its wide-ranging sales today, taking 20% off orders of $25+ (maximum $50 discount) from nearly $75 major sellers. You can head over here to see all of the eligible sellers and items, but some highlights include Klymit, Worx, eBags, and Hoover, not to mention a bunch of electronics sellers. Just be sure to use code PCOLUMBUS2017 at checkout to get the deal.

MassDrop has had some truly insane discounts on high-end TVs lately, but today, they’re taking $300 off a more mid-range 55" model from Samsung.

Unlike the last deal, the UN55MU8000 doesn’t have Quantum Dots, but reviews around the web still say it has terrific black levels and solid HDR performance. It’s currently listed for about $1200 on Amazon, and was available for a brief period for about $1100, but MassDrop has it for just $900 today, easily the best price we’ve seen.

Belkin and Apple finally started shipping a dongle that lets you use wired headphones and charge your iPhone 7, 8, or X at the same time. The problem, it’s $35, and it’s entirely too large for the role it serves. Luckily, Amazon recently started making their own; it’s $5 cheaper right now, and much, much sleeker.

There are probably thousands of Apple Watch charging stands out there, but basically every one I’ve seen shares the same problem: They slide all over your nightstand when you try to pull the watch off its magnetic charger, let alone if you bump it with your hand while you’re sleeping.

Aukey solved that problem in the most stupidly simple way: A suction cup. It’s a little thing, but you’ll appreciate it every night, and what’s $7 to someone who spent hundreds of dollars on an Apple Watch?

Note: This doesn’t include any actual charging hardware: Like most Apple Watch charging stands, it’s basically just housing for the included charger.

Half the stuff you plug in these days probably plugs into a USB port, so it makes sense for your power strips to include some, in addition to AC outlets. This $29 power strip from Aukey includes six of the former (including one Quick Charge 3.0 port) and eight of the latter, so you can charge everything.

Whether you’re storing videos, photos, music, or even console games, $60 is a great price for a 2TB portable hard drive.

Your laptop is one of the most expensive things you own, and it deserves to be treated as such. Rather than throwing it roughshod into your bag, slip it into one of PicasoLabs’ beautiful, hand-stitched leather sleeves, now on sale for the first time ever.

Jesus Diaz raved about these and interviewed the creator on Gizmodo a few years ago, and now you can pick your own from Amazon for 15% off with promo code KINJA150, plus $8 if you want it engraved.

There are several options available, and prices will vary depending on the size of your laptop. They’re all designed specifically for various MacBook models, but compare measurements, and you could probably find one to fit your Windows Ultrabook as well. No matter which one you choose, you’ll save 15% at checkout with that promo code. Needless to say, these also make a great gift.

Klipsch’s ProMedia 2.1 speaker system is the only three-time winner in Kinja Co-Op history, and MassDrop has it for $120 right now, or $30 less than Amazon. If you’re still using, say, your laptop’s built-in speakers, I can’t express how huge this upgrade will be.

These Mackie CR3 reference monitors almost always sell for $100 on Amazon, and even at that price are frequently the top-sellers in the “Studio Audio Monitors” category. But if you buy them from Adorama today with promo code OCTOBER17, you’ll get them for $69. Nice.

Anker’s PowerLine and PowerLine+ cables were already our readers’ favorite charging cables, but the new PowerLine II line is even stronger, comes with a hassle-free lifetime warranty, and is a few bucks off on Amazon today.

We wrote more about the cables over on Gear, but the long and short of it is that between the extreme durability and the lifetime warranty, it’s quite possible that this will be the last Lightning cables you ever have to buy. The 6' model is the one on sale this week in black.

VPNs are in the news these days, and with good reason. So if you’re curious to sign up and start protecting your browsing history and personal data (or, you know, getting around websites’geoblocks), NordVPN charges less per month than a typical trip to Starbucks.

NordVPN has long been one of the most popular and reliable VPN providers out there, and if you sign up for a one-year membership, promo code VIP70 will drop your annual price from $69 to $48. If you’re sure you want to commit, use this link instead to get a special two year plan for $79 with code 2YSpecial2017. Lifehacker has recommended Nord in some previous guides, but if you have any firsthand experience with the service, sound off in the comments!

TOP HOME DEALS

A first aid kit is one of those things you should probably keep in your glove box, and you should definitely have at home, and at $16 for 250 pieces, there’s no excuse not to be prepared for minor accidents.

It includes bandages, gauze, medicines, an instant cold pack, and more, all tucked away in a refillable soft pack. You can thank us later.

Philips Wake-Up lights have long been one of our readers’ favorite products, but now Vansky is making its own version for a lot less money.

Just like the Philips light, Vansky’s Sunrise Alarm Clock fades in a sunrise-simulating light for 30 minutes prior to your designated wake-up time, and then finishes the job with your choice of six natural alarms, or an FM radio station. That means by the time your alarm goes off, your body will already have begun the process of waking up, eliminating that awful feeling of being jolted out of a deep REM cycle. You can even choose from seven different light colors, a feature that doesn’t exist on any of Philips’ models.

I’ve had a Philips Wake-Up light for years, and absolutely love it, but $26 is a great price for a feature-packed alternative.

I prefer steaming over ironing - it’s faster, easier, and you don’t need to fumble around with the ironing board. Amazon’s garment steamer gold box features 2 hand steamers and one heavy duty steaming station if you’re really serious about steaming.

Plus, skipping the dry cleaner every once in a while and steaming instead can make your clothes last longer.

If you’re ready to take the plunge into LED lighting, this 6-pack of bulbs from TCP is down to just $12 on Amazon right now in soft white and just $15 for daylight bulbs. They aren’t dimmable, so you won’t want to put them in certain fixtures, but they’re great bulk packs for the price.

Once you’ve got them, check to see if your local utility company offers rebates for purchasing LEDs. If so, it’s possible these could pay for themselves even quicker than they would otherwise.

The holidays are coming up, and you want to show the neighborhood that you’re not a fun-hating Scrooge. The problem: You’re very busy and/or lazy, and putting up actual decorations is just too much work.

Enter projector lights. These really took hold in the form of red and green laser lights around Christmas over the past few years, but now, they work for all the major holidays, and some minor ones too. Just attach one of the 15 removable face plates in front of the projector, and you’ll cover the front of your house with witches, snow flakes, sleds, falling leaves, or even clowns if you’re a sadist. Just use code 2A4TNTC3 to save 25% on this model.

Vacuuming is simultaneously the worst chore, and the chore most easily pawned off to a robot. How convenient!

While it lacks the brand recognition of a Roomba, and we can’t personally vouch for them like we can for the Eufy RoboVac 11, this ECOVACS vacuum has solid reviews, and are insanely affordable today at $135 with promo code FVIHGUYX. That’s a match for a Gold Box deal from July, and one of the best prices we’ve seen on any robotic vacuum.

Most of us know letting wine breath will make it taste better. This $8 aerator will speed up the process by mixing in air as your pour.

I have one of these at home and it honestly makes a noticeable difference, normally taking out the initial harsh acidic taste of some wines.

Everyone ought to own a good old fashioned Swiss Army Knife, and the Huntsman II model is down to one of its best prices of the year right now. This would also make a great stocking stuffer, if you’re the type to plan ahead for such things.

BioLite, maker of our favorite camping stoves and lighting, is back with a FirePit we’ve been psyched about since we saw it in action back in December. Their Kickstarter launched today and is already... on fire.

Update: BioLite is running low on $199 preorder bonuses with the free solar cover (only about 500 left as of October 6), so get yours while you can.

The BioLite FirePit is easy to transport, minimizes smoke, is see-through for maximum fire viewing, uses wood or charcoal, and doubles as a hibachi grill. The secret here is an advanced circulation system that’s powered by a removable battery pack (which you can plug your phone into, natch), but unlike some of BioLite’s other products, the flames won’t recharge that battery themselves.

That said, Kickstarter preorders include a solar cover for free that will recharge the battery when the pit isn’t in use, but about a third of the units available at the $199 level are already gone, so don’t let this one smolder.

Some of your favorite food storage containers are 15% off today, putting them within a couple of bucks of their all-time low price. They’re glass so they’re less likely to stain or hold odors, but don’t take my word for it - here’s what you like about them:

Easy to clean, great size selection, very sturdy. - thethinwhiteduke

Far and away the best as they will never stain or crack and the lids are replaceable and inexpensive. Tons of different sizes and shapes. I’ve replaced almost all of my old plastic crap except for a few even smaller ones that go in the kids lunch boxes. - Dar

I have what I believe to be the oldest version of this product, purchased ~23 years ago at Costco. The sets (I bought 2) included two sizes of rectangular containers, small bowls, and two sizes of small round, all with blue lids. The have held up perfectly with only the replacement of two lids on the larger bowls. Glass is the perfect storage material but don’t microwave with the lids snapped on tight DAMHIKT. Excellent product and worth many times what I paid. - Bodger

At $64 (with promo code DTTLUEVT), this is one of the most affordable sous-vide circulator we’ve ever seen. And while it doesn’t come from a brand you’ve heard of like Anova or Chef Steps, its handful of reviews seem solid. At this price, I think it’s worth rolling the dice.

If you aren’t familiar with sous-vide, Lifehacker has a great explainer of the process here. Spoiler alert: it’s incredible easy, and the results are perfect every time.

If excessive noise or utter silence makes it difficult for you to doze off, this white noise machine might be the key to a better night’s sleep.

Marpac’s Dohm-DS boasts a 4.3 star average on over 11,000 reviews (!!!), and Amazon’s offering a 10% off coupon on the tan model today. Not the best deal we’ve ever seen, but it is the lowest price we’ve seen in a couple of months, and you can’t put a price on better sleep.

Note: 10% discount will be taken at checkout.

It’s a little over 3 weeks until Halloween, so it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to pass out to the trick-or-treaters (or keep for yourself). Amazon is offering a whole pillow case-full of coupons on Halloween candy, so might as well stock up now. The discount won’t show up you check out, but all of these prices are about as low as they go.

If you think you’ll have guests coming in for the holidays, they won’t mind sleeping on this raised queen air mattress from Intex, complete with built-in pump. It doesn’t include a never-flat pump like some other deals we’ve seen, but for $40, it’s still a great value.

If you live in a city with Amazon Prime Now, but haven’t yet tried it, you can save $10 on your first order with promo code 10PRIMENOW.

All you have to do is build a cart with at least $20 worth of eligible goods from Amazon, and enter that code at checkout to get the deal. I’ve literally built Prime Now orders in the past that consisted of nothing but ice cream and junk food, but they recently added a selection of healthier stuff from Whole Foods as well, so you should have no trouble taking advantage.

Just remember that this deal is only available in cities with Prime Now service, and only first time Prime Now customers are eligible.

TOP LIFESTYLE DEALS

Amazon’s running a new fitness-focused Gold Box to help you stay active through the holidays, this time with a solid selection of Under Armour apparel for men, women, and kids all marked down to great low prices.

Head over to Amazon, and you’ll find deals on shorts, tops, sneakers, and more. Just note that lots of the items have multiple color options once you get to their product pages, and that these prices are only available today, so you may want to run.

Yes, it’s already happening again. Nordstrom Rack has brought back their Clear the Rack sale and it’s full (and I mean FULL) of really incredible deals. Designer clothing, brands you’ve never heard of, everything in clearance an extra 25% off. This lasts through Monday, so you have a nice, long weekend to pick up some discounts.

I never full appreciated quality running shoes until I had a pair. It was night-and-day for my knees and shins. If you want to invest in a good, casual running shoe, but don’t want to drop too much money, head over to Joe’s New Balance Outlet. Right now, you can grab these New Balance 420v3 Running Shoes for just $40, plus free shipping, when you use the code KINJA420.

Uniqlo U is Uniqlo’s take on minimalist style and it just launched last night, with pieces already sold out. If you’re eyeing something else in Uniqlo’s repertoire, head to their sale section, where they’ve taken $10 off a ton of their down styles, HEATTECH pieces, flannel shirts and more. Plus, there’s free shipping on every order, with no minimum.

Workout equipment is expensive, but evens out pretty quickly if you compare it to a monthly gym membership. And, if you’re anything like me, you like to workout but hate going to a gym. Well, you can add a 20lb dumbbell set to your workout routine for just $21 from AmazonBasics.

If it’s measurable, Dr. Meter probably makes something to measure it. Our readers have bought thousands of laser distance measures, IR thermometers, luggage scales, soil moisture meters, and more from them over the years, and now, they finally have a smart bathroom scale.

This operates just like a regular bathroom scale, except it connects to your phone over Bluetooth to store all of your measurements, so you can track how much weight you’re losing (or gaining, the holidays are coming up) over time. Get it for $34 with promo code KR7LP3Z9.

Gone are the days where you started sweating just getting dressed in the morning (hopefully). It’s time to prepare for the temperature to drop. Columbia is giving you up to 70% off select styles when you use the code COLOCT70 at check out. Pick up layering pieces, t-shirts, and outerwear that’s perfect for the fluctuating temperatures, for a lot less than normal.

Dorco’s the be-all, end-all of affordable shaving gear, but $11 for the Pace 6+ six-blade razor, six cartridges, and a tube of shaving cream is one of their best deals yet. Just use code KINJAT4 at checkout to get the deal, plus free shipping.

For me, the most common answer to “Where did you get that?” is H&M. The stores are mad houses and the clearance sections are disorganized, but digging through them is so worth it. Right now, they’re having one of their massive sales, with up to 60% off hundreds of things, and I’ll be there’s something in there that you’ll want.

And if you weren’t aware, their Home section is pretty spot on.

Sperry is ready to outfit your feet in fall styles with a couple deals for you to choose from. Right now, they’re taking 30% off a ton of classic styles, no code needed. That includes the boat shoes we all know and sometimes love, sandals, and even some coats and sweaters for the upcoming fall weather.

It may not be sandal weather everywhere right now, but $60 Birkenstock Gizeh sandals are nothing to pass up. Use the code KINJAGIZEH at check out and knock $20 off the already reduced price and grab these in either Black or Onyx. Treat your feet to the world-renowned footbeds of Birkenstocks, because they’re cool again.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Banana Republic, Old Navy, and GAP are in cahoots when it comes to sales; they are owned by the same company, after all. But with 40% off coming from all three retailers when you use the code FAMILY, maybe you get a whole new wardrobe by the end of summer.

If you missed out on our earlier Privé Revaux exclusive discounts over the summer in the summer, here’s another chance to pick from 35 great-looking frames for just $21-$24 each.

Update: Last day for this sale!

TOP MEDIA DEALS

Normally selling for around $40+, these 3 anime box sets are between $28 and $30 today with Amazon’s anime gold box, including the complete series of the highly-rated Outlaw Star.

If you like to read, and aren’t opposed to doing it on an electronic device of some sort, here’s your no-brainer deal of the day. Humble’s latest bundle features two dozen DRM-free ebooks, and you can get them all for as little as $18, or some for just $1.

These aren’t books you’d find in the budget bin at the bookstore either. The list includes classics like Octavia Butler’s Dawn, John Brunner’s Shockwave Rider and All My Sins Remembered by Joe Haldeman.

As always with Humble Bundles, the titles are locked behind a few different price tiers, but you can pay whatever you want, and a portion of the proceeds will go to charity.

Amazon always offers a free one-month trial of its Audible audiobook service, but for a limited time, they’re also tossing in an extra free book credit to sweeten the pot. That’s in addition to the book you normally get with the trial, and each credit is valid for any title in the Audible library. The best part? The books you choose are yours to keep, even if you cancel the trial before it renews.

Just note that this deal is only valid for new Audible members only.

If you want to jog your memory before seeing Blade Runner 2049, or <gasp> have never seen the original, you can own the Blade Runner: The Final Cut on Amazon Instant Video for just $7 today, if you’re a Prime member. This isn’t a rental: You’ll own it forever, or at least until the replicants kill us all.

GKIDS is preparing to re-release a bunch of Studio Ghibli classics on Blu-ray, and you can preorder them for $17-$18 right now on Amazon.

TOP GAMING DEALS

If you missed out on Amazon’s 20% preorder discount on Destiny 2, they’ve just marked it down to $50 on PS4, or $48 on Xbox One, which is nearly as good. Even if parts of the original didn’t really click for you, the sequel is very, very good, and worth a look.

Axiom Verge isn’t perfect, but it’s worth checking out if you enjoyed the early Metroid or Castlevania games (and can’t get your hands on an SNES Classic). Chrono.gg has it for just $10 right now, or half the price of Steam, until noon ET tomorrow.

The Humble Monthly subscription plan delivers you a selection of new games (to keep!) every month, gives you 10% off everything in the Humble Store, and donates 5% of each month’s proceeds to charity.

This month, they’re kicking things off with Quake Champions, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, and The Elder Scrolls Online, in addition to whatever indie games they roll out throughout the month. Again these are yours to keep with anymembership, even if you cancel it. Month-to-month subscriptions cost $12, and can be cancelled any time, but you can save more if you pre-pay for longer periods.

Humble is mostly known for selling games, but today, they’re selling stuff to help you make those games yourself.

The bundle includes a number of RPG Maker software programs, plus a few full RPG games to give you inspiration. Purchased separately, all of the software would cost nearly $700, but today, you can get it all for as little as $15.

Super Mario Odyssey is only about a month away, and here’s a friendly reminder that if you have Amazon Prime, you can preorder it for $12 off (discount shown at checkout). This deal is valid up until release day, but Amazon’s been known to sell out of preorders of popular Nintendo games in the past, so it might behoove you to place your order early.

Don’t have a Switch yet? Amazon has preorders of the Super Mario Odyssey edition in stock, or you can get one without a bundled game immediately, in either Gray or Neon.

Update: Back in stock!

Start your own rebellion with this LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, down to just $35. With 24 different gifts, like Rey’s speeder, an At-ST, a TIE Striker, Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle, and more. Even reenact The Force Awakens with the Jakku playmat (brooding Luke Skywalker on a cliff, not included). They also somehow made BB-8 even more adorable, by giving him a snowboard and hat, which is reason enough to buy this.

Humble’s newest bundle comes courtesy of Stardock Entertainment, with titles like The Political Machine 2016, Galactic Civilizations III, and Offworld Trading Company included across three different tiers. As always, you can name your own price, and a portion of the proceeds to charity, but you’ll have to pony up at least $15 to get all of the games.
