Is an inflatable chair better than an inflatable couch? Yes. Is an inflatable chair better than an actual chair? Probably not.
I hate inflating those inflatable couches, and while they’re great for laying down on, they’re definitely not comfortable to sit on unless you’ve got something to prop them against. The Trono Chair inflates just like the couches, has a zip on fabric seat for extra comfort, as well as loops to secure it to the ground if you so choose. Functionally, it’s a big upgrade over the couches.
It would be easy to assume the Trono is cheaper, lighter, and more packable than the ultralight camping chairs on the market, but that’s not really the case. The Trono goes for $70, around the same price as the Alite chairs I just wrote about. The Alite Mantis weighs in at 1.8 pounds compared to the Trono’s 1.7, packs down smaller, and I’d actually argue it’s easier to set up. Plus, it’s a real chair.
Trono is the king of the inflatables, just make sure an inflatable is what you really want.
