TOP TECH DEALS

Anker is best known for its USB charging gear, but today in Amazon’s Gold Box, several of its computing accessories are on sale for great low prices.

You can head over to the Gold Box, or learn more about the deals here.

Nomad’s Apple Watch charging stand is basically just a piece of aluminum with a cut-out for your charging puck and its cable. But it’s a really, really, nice looking piece of aluminum with a cut-out for your charging puck and its cable, it must be said. For something that will live permanently on your nightstand, looks matter.

$13 is an all-time low, and in fact, it’s the first time we’ve seen this thing for under $20.

Whether you need a spare card for your dash cam, your GoPro, your Switch, or anything else, this 64GB Samsung microSD card is down to its lowest price today.

Whether you’re a slow typist, are a carpal tunnel sufferer, or just want to feel like you’re living on the Starship Enterprise, Nuance’s Dragon dictation software can make your voice as powerful as any mouse and keyboard. If you’re curious to try it out, Amazon is offering up big savings on the software, today only.

Included in the Gold Box deal are the latest versions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking Home ($29) and Premium ($68) for Windows, plus some bundles and accessories. Oddly, Mac users seem to be left out in the cold this time around. I won’t get into the nitty gritty details here, but each product page has a comprehensive overview of what the software can and can’t do, so head over to Amazon to see if this deal is right for you.

Have you used any of Nuance’s software yourself? Let us know what you think of it in the comments.

Now that Apple’s jumped aboard the Qi train, we’re seeing a lot more charging pad deals than we used to. This new model from RAVPower supports 10W fast charging for compatible Android phones, and is just $11 with promo code KINJA014. At that price, you can afford to put them all over your house.

You can seemingly build just about anything with a Raspberry Pi, including your own miniature game console, and here’s a great deal on the newest Raspberry Pi 3. The kit comes with a case, a power supply, and some heatsinks, but you’ll need to provide a microSD card. Get the kit for $46 with promo code 6OOQOSHO.

Update: You can also get this bundle with a 32GB microSD card, a retro game console case, and an HDMI cable for $66 with code 45YOCHIQ.

If you want one of Apple’s incredible new iPad Pros, and don’t need it to be fresh off the factory floor, Amazon’s running a one-day sale on certified refurbs of the Wi-Fi + Cellular models. All of the available deals are the 2017 models, and both the 10.5" and 12.9" sizes are both available in multiple colors and storage capacities, so you can find the one that’s right for you.

Whether you love to sing in the shower, or just need more time to catch up on your podcasts, everyone should own a water-resistant Bluetooth speaker. Especially when they’ll only set you back $14 with promo code C8D39KAN.

While 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound involves placing speakers around your room on a single plane, the concept behind Dolby Atmos audio is to give audio an element of height. If you don’t want to install speakers in your ceiling though, this sound bar is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to pull off the effect.

The Pioneer Surround Elite Atmos Soundbar is a 3.1.2 system, meaning you get three regular audio channels in the sound bar, a wireless subwoofer for bass, and two special “object” speakers that point upwards, and bounce sound off your ceiling, creating the effect of Atmos surround sound with minimal hardware. And for content that doesn’t support Atmos, the system is smart enough to mix it as regular 5.1.

At $405 shipped, it’s not exactly an impulse purchase, but that’s still $95 less than Amazon’s current price, and easily an all-time low.

TCL’s 2017 4K TVs aren’t technological marvels, but they might just represent the best value in the TV world, and three different sizes are on sale right now in preparation for the Super Bowl.

These sets all have Roku’s excellent software built in, 4K resolution, and even a limited form of HDR, though not Dolby Vision like you’d see on more expensive sets.

These discounts aren’t huge, but these sets don’t go on sale often, and they weren’t expensive to begin with.

The release of the Sonos One effectively pushed the going rate of the old Play:1 down to $150, but right now on Amazon, you can get the white model for an even cheaper $137.

The Play:1 sounds exactly the same as the new One (that is to say, it sounds great), and you can even combine two Play:1s into a stereo pair, or scatter them all over your home for multi-room listening. Sonos is expected to offer a 2-for-$349 deal on the new model tomorrow, but honestly, this is probably a better deal for most people.

Update: The two-pack of Sonos Ones for $350 is live now as well. Unless you really want Alexa built in, I’d still just buy two Play:1s at $137 each, but there it is.

The perfect power strip for your office is down to $29 on Amazon today with promo code AUKEYA13. That gets you eight AC outlets (two of which are offset to accommodate larger plugs), five regular USB ports, and even a Quick Charge 3.0 port, so you can plug in all of the things.

In today’s edition of “Silly Things That Are Actually Kind of Useful,” we have a $9 beanie with tiny Bluetooth speakers built right in. I’m sure the sound quality isn’t amazing, but it should be adequate for listening to podcasts, or even some summery songs to make you feel less cold and miserable over the next month or so.

The government should mandate that all TVs come with at least five HDMI ports. I see no downside to this. Until I become president though, this $8 HDMI switcher will have to do. It basically turns one port into two, switches between devices at the press of a button.

We see deals with some regularity on Anker’s 6' and 10' nylon-wrapped PowerLine+ Lightning cables, but today, you can upgrade your standard 3' cords for just $8 each. The PowerLine+ feels ridiculously nice in the hand, is way more durable than Apple’s first party cable, and comes with an 18 month warranty, so what’s not to love?

Note: The code is only valid on the red model.

VPNs are in the news these days, and with good reason. So if you’re curious to sign up and start protecting your browsing history and personal data (or, you know, getting around websites’ geoblocks), NordVPN charges less per month than a typical trip to Starbucks.

NordVPN has long been one of the most popular and reliable VPN providers out there, and if you sign up for a one-year membership, promo code VIP70 will drop your annual price from $69 to $48. If you’re sure you want to commit, use this link to get a special two year plan for $79 with code 2YSpecial2017, or this link to get three years for $99 with code 3ydeal. Lifehacker has recommended Nord in some previous guides, but if you have any firsthand experience with the service, sound off in the comments!

TOP HOME DEALS

You should own a stainless steel pan. Actually, you should own several of them, and you can pick up seven (plus five lids) from Amazon today for just $130.

Unlike some other tri-ply pans, these only have aluminum encapsulated in the base, rather than all the way up the walls, so they won’t heat up quite as quickly throughout. On the other hand though, they’re less than $20 per pan, and they should still be an upgrade over whatever pans you bought from Walmart when you moved into your first apartment.

Just remember that this is a Gold Box deal, so don’t leave it on the back burner.

Wabu (“wood after being used”) is a new Indiegogo project looking to turn discarded wood into your new furniture, and as usual, you can save with a preorder.

We checked out Wabu’s Stand, which I’m using to hold vinyl, and the Stool, which I’m using as an end table. Wabu’s stuff is perfect for anyone who wants to add some mixed materials and rugged textures to an otherwise minimalist room, and the assembly with the included butterfly screws is trivial, as each piece is made from no more than three pieces of wood held together by no more than four screws.

Each piece of furniture only has a limited number of preorders available, so you’ll want to order before this deal goes timber.

We sort through the noise of Kickstarter to find you preorder discounts worth taking advantage of. Someone on our team has tested a prototype (or final version) of every Kickstarter we cover.

Who among us hasn’t poured M&Ms into their mouth as if they were a liquid? These containers fit right in your cupholder to maximize your chocolate gluttony no matter where you are, and you can get six of them for $11 today, an all-time low.

You can keep your food from getting stale, and a couple of bucks on this 16-cup capacity airtight storage canister. The lid is specially designed to suction all the way down the container and is dishwasher safe.

Amazon makes steak knives now, apparently, and you can get a set of eight for just $15 today. They actually look really nice, with no branding to speak of on the handles or blades. Now we just need a set that cuts your steak automatically when you ask Alexa.

You can’t argue with the fact that clothes drying racks take up a ton of space. But this Greenco over the door drying rack takes up no floor space, and can be easily folded flat for storage, and will only set you back $9. Your sweaters will thank you.

One of the most versatile LED lighting products you’ve ever seen is just $16 right now with promo code Y2ECVCFB.

The Etekcity ROCO is a “bedside lamp, table lamp, camping lantern, nightlight, flashlight, work light, and emergency light” all rolled into one. It runs off a built-in battery. Tt can hang via the built-in strap, or attach to metal surface with its built-in magnets. It has three brightness levels and seven different lighting colors. Basically, if you need to illuminate something, the ROCO can do it.

To be sure, the Sensi Wi-Fi thermostat isn’t as sexy looking as a Nest or Ecobee, but it has the same basic feature set for under $100. You can control it via a smartphone app, Apple HomeKit, or even Alexa, so we’re willing to overlook its decidedly average industrial design, especially since today’s price is an all-time low.

<Bad stand up comedian voice> What’s the deal with wine glass stems? You’re just going to break them, and for what, so your wine can float a few inches above the table?

Stemless glasses are less prone to shattering, take up less space in your cabinets, and most importantly of all, are dishwasher safe. So pick up a dozen of them for just $9 today with promo code UOS3S3NA.

You might have a bathroom scale at home that works just fine for weighing luggage when you’re leaving town, but this hanging scale is small enough to take with you, so you can make sure you won’t get dinged for all of those heavy souvenirs on your return trip. All it has to do is save you from an overweight baggage fee once, and it will have paid for itself several times over.

Perhaps it’s not the most exciting purchase, but this 3-bag laundry sorter can make your laundry day suck a little less by allowing you to separate out all your laundry categories (lights, darks, delicates, etc) before wash day. It might even prevent you from washing that dry-clean-only shirt, or accidentally dyeing all your white clothes pink with that run-away red sock. Whatever the case, this sorter is ~$5 less than usual.

If excessive noise (or utter silence) makes it difficult for you to doze off, this popular white noise machine might be the key to a better night’s sleep. Marpac’s Dohm-DS boasts a 4.3 star average on over 12,000 (!!!) reviews, and Amazon’s offering the tan model for $40 today, or about $10 less than usual. I wouldn’t sleep on it, as this price is unlikely to last long.

White noise can also be great for infants, and you can also save 15% right now on the new, baby-friendly LectroFan Kinder. The Kinder includes over 75 sounds (including lullabies), has a soothing, color shifting night light built-in, and can even be controlled from outside your baby’s room with a smartphone app. Just use code 15OffKinder at checkout to get it for $68.

These $9 gloves let you grab a hot pan out of the oven, pull meat right off a grill, or even turn logs in an active campfire without getting burned, like some kind of kitchen superhero. We’ve seen silicone barbecue gloves for less than this in the past, but these are rated for much higher temperatures, and should be more flexible as well.

Update: The endoscope we wrote about yesterday sold out, but here’s a very similar product for just $1 more.

Look, I get it, you don’t think you need an endoscope. And you probably don’t! At least right now. But the day will come—it could be in a week, it could be in 10 years—where you need a snake-like camera to look down a drain, or in the recesses of a car engine, or inside your air conditioning ducts, and you’ll be glad you bought one for $19.

Dr. Meter’s Wi-Fi endoscope is a 720p camera with built-in LED headlights at the end of a five-meter, semi-rigid cable. At the other end of the cord is an included Wi-Fi module that that broadcasts live video to your phone or computer over, so you see what the camera sees. It also comes with three attachments (a hook, a magnet, and a mirror) that you can slip onto the end to peer around corners, or retrieve tiny items.

At this point, I feel like I should cover my bases and point out that this is not a medical device. Please, don’t put it inside you or anyone else. Otherwise, have fun. Thanks.

TOP LIFESTYLE DEALS

Neutrogena is one of the most well-known and well-liked drugstore brands out there. Heck, I swear by their moisturizer and face wash. Right now, they’re having an a pretty good sale/excuse to stock up on your favorites, with 25% off everything and free shipping on orders of $25+, no code needed.

Plus, they’re having a “Buy 1, Gift 1 Free” deal on the crazy-looking Light Therapy Acne Mask.

$12 is a pretty good price for any typical nose and ear hair trimmer. But this one from Panasonic incorporates a tiny vacuum cleaner to grab your hairs so they don’t go all over the bathroom. It would make a great, if somewhat passive aggressive stocking stuffer.

ASOS is known for their massive sales, and this up to 60% off shoe sale is no different. There are over 300 pairs to choose from, with most coming in under $50. Everything from over-the-knee boots to loafers is included in the sale, so if you’re in need of some new kicks, this is where you should start.

Merrell makes some of the best footwear in the game, and they’re taking an extra 15% off sale styles with the code WINTER15, to help you hit the trails (plus some outerwear to help with the cold). It may not exactly be hiking weather, but if you’re a bold winter camper, these are the boots you should pick up.

Joe’s New Balance is the premiere online outlet for...New Balance shoes, obviously. Right now, they’re having a Flash Sale, with footwear for men and women, for just $35. Running shoes, lifestyle shoes, classic shoes, and more are in this sale. Just add to cart and checkout, no code need

TOP MEDIA DEALS

This newest Humble Bundle marries geek culture and cooking. What does that mean exactly? They’re including titles like The Astronaut’s Cookbook, The Wizard’s Cookbook, Make Edible Inventions, and more. Consider picking up a few of these cookbooks now, and make your geeky Valentine something extra special for dinner in a few weeks.

As always, you can name your own price, but the titles are spread across three different price tiers.

If you’ve never subscribed to Google Play Music Unlimited, you can get a four month free trial right now, complete with a free YouTube Red membership, which gives you access to some exclusive content and (much more importantly) eliminates ads from YouTube videos.

You’ll need a credit card to access the trial, as it’ll automatically charge you after the four months are over, but you can cancel your account immediately, and still have access until the trial expires. Unfortunately, this promotion is only available for new Google Play Music Unlimited members - if you’ve ever had an Unlimited account in the past, you aren’t eligible.

Amazon’s running a Marvel digital comic sale that’s bigger than any Avengers movie today, with literally thousands of titles marked down to just a few bucks, in most cases. You’ll find everything from the Guardians of the Galaxy to Darth Vader to Deadpool to Captain America in there, and every hero in between, so there’s never been a better time to stock your digital shelves.

The selection is overwhelming (400 Amazon pages, or over 20,000 titles!), but we broke out a few of our favorites on this post. Otherwise, let us know what you found in the comments!

TOP GAMING DEALS

If you’re up for a bout of survival horror, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard’s Gold Edition is down to an all-time low $40 on Xbox One and PS4 today. That gets you the base game, plus all of its DLC. Just be sure to play it with the lights on.

Packing in a quad core i7 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, a 1TB hard drive paired with a 256GB SSD, and a GTX 1060 GPU, these MSI gaming laptops should be able to handle everything you throw at them, and MassDrop has them for about $150-$200 less than you’ll find elsewhere.

Internally, the 15" and 17" models seem to be identical, so you’re really just paying an extra $30 for the larger (though not more spacious - they’re both 1080p) screen.

If you have kids whose hands are too small to use a proper DualShock 4 controller, Hori makes a wired gamepad that’s 40% smaller, and 50% cheaper. It normally sells for $30, but today on Amazon, you can grab it for $20. Honestly, I’d like to try it myself, if only out of curiosity.

As if Civilization VI and some DLC for $12 weren’t enough, Humble just added Owlboy as an early access title for this month’s Humble Monthly.

If you aren’t familiar, the Humble Monthly subscription plan delivers you a selection of new games (to keep!) every month, gives you 10% off everything in the Humble Store, and donates 5% of each month’s proceeds to charity. If you prefer to play your games on PC, it might just be the best deal in gaming.

So right now, you could conceivably pay $12, download your copies of Civ VI, Owlboy, and some Civ DLC, cancel your subscription before it renews, and those games would be yours to keep forever. I don’t recommend canceling, for the reasons mentioned above, but that’s a ton of value for just $12.
