Halloween is the perfect excuse to dress up your baby—and make the whole family go in on one family costume.
Take advantage of this small window of time when your baby doesn’t know to complain or prefer one costume over another. Plus, tiny humans in Halloween costumes are the cutest.
You don’t have to be especially crafty to pull off a fun family Halloween costume. (Though if you’re feeling the DIY itch, check out Primary.com for inspiration and tutorials). Here are a few ideas for an easy and admittedly cheesy family costume, matched with the most adorable baby Halloween outfits I could find:
Under the Sea
This baby lobster costume is delectable. Plus, there are plenty of ways you can make it a family costume: Dress up as chefs, and if your baby is small enough, stick her in a pot.
Or, toss on a red wig, seashell bra and fins, and be the Little Mermaid to your baby’s Sebastian. Or better yet, Ursula.
Or go with a loose “under the sea” theme. The possibilities are endless, like this comfortable narwhal onesie, or this seahorse costume, or this inflatable shark costume. You can even make your own jellyfish costume with streamers, a clear umbrella and LED lights.
Animal Farm
All you need is a pair of denim overalls and a straw hat to compliment your cute baby chicken.
There are also plenty of farm animal possibilities, like this cow onesie, or these simple pig accessories, or this strange sexy sheep costume.
Alternatively, dress the family as breakfast: bacon, eggs, and coffee.
Go Bananas
Make a fruit salad costume: The baby can be a delicious pineapple or strawberry while the sibling can be a banana and the grownups can be grapes or a lime.
Even easier: Pull out your resort wear, and carry your pineapple baby in one hand and a cocktail in the other.
If your baby is especially little, keep them snug in this banana bunting and form a bunch of bananas. Even the dog can be a banana.
Rainbows and Unicorns
It’s hard not to squeal at the cuteness of this baby unicorn. Pair it with this simple rainbow costume, or drape yourself in a pair of butterfly wings, or put on your best tutu and headband. With this costume, life can be all rainbows and unicorns.
