I think most people who like G2’s just like rollerballs which use gel ink. The G2 is globby, the ink dries slowly and tend to smear and is not water resistant at all.
I used to be a big G2 guy until I tried other pens and realized you can have thick black lines without needing globby pens which often clog and smear. Read more
