I love my desk, it’s very traditional - the IKEA Hemnes Desk. It’s $279 in the US. Some IKEA furniture feels flimsy, but the desktop itself is a very thick and heavy piece of wood. It has a wire cutout built in and a wire shelf underneath. It’s perfect for me - it even looks good.

The best desk I’ve seen in a while is actually a computer case. Definitely for power users, this desk from Lian Li is built like a tank and becomes a piece of functional art for your fancy computer :) The picture from Amazon doesn’t show it, but the front face of the desk folds out and can hold your keyboard and mouse.
