I was at a show at the Bowery Ballroom seeing Eliot Sumner a couple of years ago. This is a small-ish venue in NYC, and I would say the venue was like 3/4 packed (400 people or so), enough so you could comfortably move around and see the people around you. About halfway through the show, I looked behind me for some Read more

I feel awful I came in here to scoff (and I love Dyson vacuums) at that price - even the reduced one. But who am I to judge - we have two, count ‘em - TWO MEN who’ve purchased this “holy shit that’s expensive” dryer for their loves. Who am I to scoff? Read more

Got this for my wife for her Birthday last year.  She loved me before.  She loves me more now.  She’s got super thick hair and it cut her drying time from 30 mins to 10. Read more

I can vouch for the Tornado toy - my aussie has one and he loves that thing. It keeps him busy for all of 30 seconds at a time because he’s too damn smart and dexterous but it’s one of his favourite toys and pretty durable. Read more

Meh, for some people it helps them keep track of one or the other. Yes, because of their own mental limitations, but most humans aren’t above average, because math. And this thing isn’t going to be your wallet. It’s going to be a wallet, or just a place where you keep one or two useful things and prop up your phone. Read more

Cover Girl’s Oh Sugar! is a great deal - good conditioning and smell, and I find the amount of color just right. I like Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Oil, great feel to it, but I see from reviews it gets mixed reactions from others. Lancome’s Baume in Love is great but pricey, and I like the Juicy Shakers too. Glossier generation g lipstick has changed my life. It doesn’t necessary have the longest life BUT I don’t need a mirror to apply it, so touch-ups on the subway are no biggie. I cannot recommend it more highly. Read more

DC resident here. Since our nation’s capital turns into the innermost ring of the inferno for half the year, I opt for Pat McGrath’s Mattetrance lipsticks. I own close to 15 now and the collection keeps growing. Luxurious, decadent texture that goes on smoothly and is long lasting. And adding lipliner will make it Read more

Iceland absolutely is a country to visit more than once - it’s meant to be beautiful in the summer (with an abundance of puffins and whales!), but the colder seasons are not to be missed either. The Northern Lights truly are spectacular, and if you go at the right time you can also hike a glacier, which is by far one Read more

I’ve been wearing these for a couple years and they’re great.

I have had these AND the leather all-black version (with leather sole) for about 3 years now, and can vouch that the EVA lasts. Mine are just now starting to show some wear/tearing at the toe. Not bad for $40 shoes that get worn all the time. I basically live in my Birks for 6 months out of the year.  Read more
