Husband and I secretly eloped in Key West, came back with fancy new rings and coordinates of the beach we got hitched on.
Deer became a theme of our wedding somewhere along the way and we love to camp. Went to Zion and Glacier for our honeymoon!

It has been two weeks now and I have made my bed every day (well, almost every day. My husband slept in this morning and he didn't make the bed, but I made sure to make it before I crawled in to read and go to sleep)! I have never been more proud of myself or felt more like an adult. Huzzah! Read more
I've washed my kids' animals after headlice infestations and they'll dry a lot faster if you put them on a clothes drying rack and turn a fan on them. You can flip a dish drying rack and use that instead of the clothes rack, the point is to maximize air circulation for faster drying. Read more
Shout out to Sam Woolley, that illustration is great. Read more
My husband and I are huge football people. During the fall, we are friends on Saturdays for college football, but enemies on Sundays - due to being rival NFL division fans. We had our engagement pictures taken in our season ticket spots at Marshall University's Joan C. Edwards Stadium - and our wedding colors were a…
I played varsity rugby in University, when I met my husband. It was a huge, if not all-consuming, part of my life - 6am practices 5 days/week, games 2 days/week, and mandatory gym and pool sessions on off-days. My now-husband had previously favoured quite delicately built women who were, as I understand it,… Read more
I officiated a baseball themed wedding. It was a second wedding for an older couple, who met at spring training watching their favorite teams play. In a group of friends when they were discussing what songs they want to play at their funeral they both said "Take me out to the ballgame". They scheduled their wedding… Read more
My parents were married May 7, 1983 in the afternoon. My mom loves horses, and as Kentuckians, they naturally spent their reception boozing, gambling and watching the Kentucky Derby.
We had two ring bearers (my husband's cousins, ages 8 and 5). I made Patriots and Red Sox pillows for them to carry the rings on. I got these flags that clip on to your car window which were really two flags sewn together so they were double sided. I removed the sticks, stuffed them, sewed them up, and added a ribbon… Read more
Getting married in less than two months, and we are having a hockey themed wedding. The future husband and I bonded over our love of hockey when we met in college (I joke that I wouldn't have started dating him except that he said he had played on his HS hockey team). Our hockey-themed elements include (but are not… Read more
My husband and I ran a 10K in our wedding clothes two days after our wedding. And yes, I had a floor-length wedding dress. Read more
Wasn't mine, but I have a friend that had a Toronto Blue Jays themed wedding and even had the blue jays logo made into a decal that went on her high heels. They were effing fierce. Read more
My husband and I met through volleyball, so at our wedding reception we had volleyballs as part of the center pieces. This was all well and good until some of the volleyball-playing guests started peppering on the dance floor, which was near the bar, which had wine glasses hanging down from a rack. I freaked out in a… Read more
