Sheets & Giggles Sheets Are Great For the Summer, and Better For the Environment

I can’t say I’d previously given much thought to how sustainable my bed sheets were to produce, but Sheets & Giggle’s new sheets are eco-friendly, and really comfortable too.

Rather than cotton, Sheets & Giggles’ sheets are made from lyocell, a fiber derived from eucalyptus trees which requires no pesticides, less electricity, and 96% less water than cotton to produce the same amount of material. Bed sheets are hardly the most pressing environmental issue of our time, but we’ll take our green points where we can get them.

Of course, this doesn’t really matter unless the sheets are good, and I really liked the set they sent me to try. Most sateen cotton sheets feel smoother, as do some bamboo sheets that I’ve tried, but Sheets & Giggles’ are definitely soft enough. I also found them to be very breathable, which as a hot sleeper, I’m particularly sensitive to.

At over $100 (or slightly less during the preorder sale going on now) for a queen set, they’re definitely an investment compared to our reader-favorite Target Threshold sheet sets, but they do have a no-questions asked return policy, even including a prepaid return shipping mailer in the package. There’s no strict time limit on the policy, but their FAQ does say “if you use our sheets for a year and then want to return them, we’ll probably call you out on that.” Something akin to the mattress industry’s 100 night trial should be safe though, and give you peace of mind that you can get your money back if you decide they aren’t for you
