Our Favorite Men's Shirts Get a Performance Upgrade

Twillory created my favorite shirts, and that goes double for their non-iron, Formaldehyde-free Safecotton line, and it also doesn’t hurt that they offer one of the best values in men’s shirting. Then they launched their Friday Shirt, a stretchy sport polo-esque button up that I actually didn’t care for at all. Now they’re back with a more technical version of their original- this could go either way!

Twillory’s Performance Shirts are super soft, super light, and maybe the coolest button up shirts I’ve worn, even compared to tencel. While they do feature 4-way stretch, I wouldn’t call them “stretchy”, with just the right amount of give. They’re not as impossible to wrinkle and easy to steam as Twillory’s SafeCotton, but they do resist wrinkling pretty well.

The SafeCotton line, while very comfortable, is pretty rigid relative to most shirts, and the opposite couldn’t be more true for their Performance line. One quirk of this is that while SafeCotton provides a lot of its own friction and is easy to keep tucked, the Performance shirts are ultra smooth and can slide out of your pants pretty easily. But, that does dovetail pretty well into the situations you’re likely to wear each in.

Twillory’s Performance Shirts are an excellent addition to their lineup and complement their SafeCotton very well. At ~$50/piece when buying 4 or more, even if you’re starting from zero, it’s pretty low impact to build a now even more versatile work wardrobe with Twillory.
