My hope is that keys will someday be a relic of the past, but until that day comes, Orbitkey does a great job of keeping them organized and quiet in your pocket.
Orbitkey consists of a strap of rubber, canvas, or leather wrapped around your keys, which are held in place with a sturdy metal screw system. When you need access to a key, you can pop it out Swiss Army Knife-style, but otherwise they stay snug against each other inside the loop, which means no jangling while you’re driving, or just walking around with loose pockets.
For larger items like car keys, there’s also a D-ring on the bottom of the loop, which can accommodate any standard keyring and its attachments. Using that option definitely renders your key package less svelte, but it’s good to have the option. I’m a little bit of a hoarder, so I have my car key, a grocery store rewards card, a fob for the GMG office, a gate opener for my apartment, and a Nomad Lightning cable hanging out up there. It’s a little unwieldy, but no worse than a standard key ring.
Orbitkey also makes key-sized bottle openers, multitools, and even a flash drive that fit perfectly among your keys within the loop. I stuffed my Gerber Shard multitool in there, and it works well enough, but Orbitkey’s option would definitely be a more natural fit. Here’s hoping they’ll add phone charging cables in the future.
Orbitkeys are available on Amazon with Prime shipping in a variety of colors and materials, but you can also find more on Orbitkey.com.
