I actually bought some of these exact bulbs during a sale late last year, and their lighting is essentially indistinguishable from incandescents, and far more pleasant than CFLs. Over the course of the last 18 months, I've transitioned every bulb in my home to LED, and I'll never go back. Compared to incandescents, they only use about 15% as much electricity to produce the same amount of light, and they last for years or even decades, so they'll inevitably pay for themselves several times over. That's great for your finances, and great for the environment. Many electric companies also offer a subsidy of about $1-$2 per bulb if you send them a proof of purchase, making them even cheaper.
