There are plenty of reasons people love glass soda bottles, not the least of which is ergonomics.
It’s been a while since anything turned our heads in the portable drinking vessel space. We love the Ember temperature-regulating mug we checked out last year, but it’s far beyond most people’s price range. On the other end of the price spectrum, years later, our reader vote runner-up Zojirushi is still the best travel mug cheaper than $150, while the winning Contigo West Loop is also great and available for as cheap as $9.
All the best travel bottles on the market already keep your drinks hotter or colder for longer than you need them to, so evaluation comes down to aesthetics, ergonomics, and mouthfeel (related: why does Nalgene exist?).
With the Fresco, Aladdin nailed adapting the classic bottle shape into a reusable travel bottle. The Fresco is available with a stainless steel or Tritan top, both of which are removable for easy cleaning and adding of ice. Both options are dishwasher safe, and available for slightly to significantly less than a Swell bottle, though Swell certainly has the upper hand in the colorway department.
If the Ember isn’t an option and I had to pick two bottles out of the ridiculous number we’ve tried at this point, I’d go Zojirushi for coffee and tea and Aladdin for water, soda, and alcohol.
