The Chase Sapphire Reserve is arguably the most rewarding and most exciting credit card ever, featuring a massive 50,000 point sign-up bonus, an annual $300 travel credit, and a slew of other perks.
Most folks who spend their time obsessing over credit cards and points believe know Chase has an unwritten “5/24" rule, where customers who have applied for five or more credit cards in the past 24 months from any most banks are likely to be automatically denied for a new card from Chase.
Having been approved for seven credit cards since August 2014 (including four from Chase!), I was expecting to have to raise hell reason calmly with customer service to get approved for the card. After applying at a brick and mortar Chase location on Sunday afternoon, I was approved Monday morning by 10am, no complaining necessary.
Granted, I’ve never missed a payment on any card, have no debt, pristine credit, etc. The other cards:

Chase did have to reallocate some of my credit line from my no longer needed Sapphire Preferred to the Reserve.
