12 Practical and Cute Winter Boots, Under $100

Every year I tell myself the same thing: I will not leave the house for the entirety of winter. I have low blood pressure, chronic cold feet and no patience for any kind of discomfort. But, against my better judgment, I always leave the house. Invariably, I’m woefully unprepared for what awaits—Canals of unadulterated garbage water line the streets! A filth moat appears on the threshold of my bodega! Pure shit rains down from the sky! Between you and me, it’s a real bummer.

Over the years, I’ve amassed a king’s ransom in smart wool and an arsenal of boots. My closet looks like a DSW graveyard. This year, I prowled the depths of bargain websites and clearance sales to bring you the best winter boots—all under $100! Good luck out there and I hope you’ll do slightly better than me.
