If you wouldn’t be caught dead wearing any of the current smart watches on the market, these great looking Invictas are only $60-$75 today on Amazon. Just note that it’s a Gold Box deal, meaning these prices are only available today, or until sold out. [Invicta Men’s Watches, $60-$75]

If low-res Chromebooks with tiny screens and limited RAM don’t appeal to you, Amazon’s offering the lowest price ever today on a well-equipped alternative.

The Acer Chromebook 15 doubles the typical Chromebook specs, packing in a 32GB SSD and a respectable 4GB of RAM. Add that to an expansive 15” 1080p IPS display and an Intel Broadwell processor with 9 hours of battery life, and you’ve got yourself a shockingly capable Chromebook.

It’s still running Chrome OS, so it might not be your primary computer, but it’d be a damn good backup or travel laptop. [Acer Chromebook 15, $310]

We’ve seen a lot of deals on waterproof smartphone cases, but even by our standards, $6 is cheap. And as an added bonus, this case comes with a detachable arm band so you can use it while running. [MoKo Universal Waterproof Phone Case With Armband, $6]

It’s 2015, and your headphones shouldn’t need wires anymore. Luckily, these highly-rated Sony Bluetooth on-ears are heavily discounted, today only on Woot.

Settlers of Catan is a fantastic board game, but if you’re getting a little sick of trying to convince your friends to trade your brick, the Cities & Knights expansion pack transforms it into a completely new game:

Dark clouds gather over the once peaceful landscape. Wild barbarians, lured by Catan’s wealth and power, maneuver to attack. Their massive warships loom against the orange horizon. You must be strong! Barbarians attack the weakest targets, and the victim of their onslaught will be the player who contributes the least to the defense of Catan. Don’t take any chances! Field your knights! In The Cities & Knights of Catan, you engage in the defense of Catan and compete to build the three great metropolises of Catan. Each of these magnificent centers are even more valuable than cities and are safe from the barbarians. You must invest in city improvements, which you acquire using commodities of trade: Coin, Paper, and Cloth. If you improve your culture, muster your knights, and enrich your cities, you will be the master of the great realm of Catan!

[Catan: Cities & Knights Game Expansion 4th Edition, $30]

The Buried Life is a former io9 Must-Read, and you can snag a Kindle copy for just $2 today.

The gaslight and shadows of the underground city of Recoletta hide secrets and lies. When Inspector Liesl Malone investigates the murder of a renowned historian, she finds herself stonewalled by the all-powerful Directorate of Preservation – Recoletta’s top-secret historical research facility.

When a second high-profile murder threatens the very fabric of city society, Malone and her rookie partner Rafe Sundar must tread carefully, lest they fall victim to not only the criminals they seek, but the government which purports to protect them. Knowledge is power, and power must be preserved at all costs…

[The Buried Life: Recoletta Book 1 [Kindle] ($2) | Amazon]

Canon’s 5D Mark III has long been the go-to DSLR for videographers, and a solid workhorse for professional and prosumer photographers as well. And while $2,000 for the body alone is still a solid chunk of change, it is the best price we’ve ever seen, and $500 less than usual. [Canon EOS 5D Mark III, $2000]

All this 4.6 star-rated luggage scale has to do is save you from an overweight baggage fee once, and it will have paid for itself several times over. You might have a scale at home that works just fine, but this one is small enough to toss into your luggage and take with you, meaning you can make sure you don’t get dinged for all of those heavy souvenirs on your return trip. [DecoBros 110lb/50kg Electronic Digital Luggage Hanging Scale, $7]

I was a longtime user of the iOttie One Touch dash mount, which you voted as your favorite over on Kinja Co-Op, but I recently experimented with a magnetic alternative, and I have to say, I love the thing.

Unlike traditional suction cup-based mounts, this Mpow Grip ($6 today with code FPJGVCF7) won’t obscure your view of the road, and when your phone is mounted to it, it’s in fact completely invisible. A big worry about these things is that they’ll cover up a valuable vent during the hottest and coldest times of the year, but I’ve found that you can stick the mount on the very top of the vent, and the magnetic plate against the very bottom of you phone, and only block a small fraction of your airflow.

The big caveat is that you’ll probably only want to buy this if use a phone case, since your two mounting options are either placing a magnetic plate between the phone and the case, or attaching a non-removable magnetic sticker directly to the phone. As long as that’s not an issue though, this is certainly worth a try at $6. [Mpow Grip Smartphone Car Mount, $6 with code FPJGVCF7]
