Seems like the clothing really is greener on the other side of the country.
YSTR, an LA-based fashion brand, wants to change how you think about sustainable clothes.
The brand produces cut-to-order, sustainable, green clothing (read: no wasted material, factory burn-out, or shady practices) for under $200, and they only sell through their own website, so there’s no crazy retailer markup to worry about. Every single thing that YSTR sells is made and shipped from their LA headquarters.
I checked out the Dixie Top and the Chloe Blouse and they’re now the lightest, most breathable tops in my entire wardrobe. “Green” fashion typically falls into two categories: uppity or hippy. YSTR doesn’t get caught in either trap, with high-end finishes on easy-to-wear styles.
YSTR works because it’s fashion for fashion’s sake that just so happens to also be good for the environment.
