The GoPro HERO is the cheapest action cam GoPro has ever made, and as such, it hardly ever sees significant discounts; there just isn’t much margin to shave off. Today only though, you can pick one up for $90, the first time we’ve ever seen it below $100.
The feature list here is pretty basic: 1080p/30 or 720p/60 recording, 5MP stills, no Wi-Fi. But it is compatible with GoPro’s massive ecosystem of mounts, and it’s waterproof out of the box; no extra housing required.
Update 2: The 4K version of the Yi cam is also on sale for $200.
Update: Your favorite budget action cam, the Yi, is also $20 off today, down to $80. Spec-for-spec, the Yi beats to GoPro in almost every way except waterproofing and GoPro accessory support, though both can be fixed with a separate case.
