If you’re intrigued by the idea of Philips Hue smart lighting, but don’t particularly care about dramatic, colorful light shows in your living room, the Hue White starter kit is exactly what you need, and it’s $40 off today.
The kit comes with four bulbs and a Hue Bridge to control them (plus up to 46 other Hue products, so you can add more as time goes on). The lhese bulbs don’t change colors, or even color temperatures, but you can turn them on or off, and dim them from your phone or with a voice assistant. You probably already have at least an Echo Dot lying around by now, and smart lighting is one of the things it does best.
This kit legitimately usually sells for $100, and the Bridge by itself typically costs about $50, so this is a hell of a deal.
If you’ve been saving your nickels for a big TV purchase this Black Friday, you don’t necessarily have to wait until the end of the month. This 70" 4K Sony is already down to its Black Friday pricing of $1198, an all-time low by about $300.
This set is on the low end of Sony’s current lineup, so you’re not getting features like local dimming or Dolby Vision HDR here, but if you’d rather invest in having a huge TV than having the absolute best image quality, it’s still a great deal.
The great thing about Philips Hue is that your fancy lighting profiles aren’t limited to standard bulbs; the Hue LighStrip Plus lets you to stick a rope of color-changing, Wi-Fi connected lights anywhere in your house.
This LightStrip Plus is compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit, and it hardly ever goes on sale, but while supplies last, you can get this for the lowest price ever, just $50. This kit includes a 6' strip, but you can add on 40" extensions for a (comparatively) affordable $30, if that’s not quite long enough.
Just note that you’ll need a Hue Bridge to control this thing; it’s not a starter kit on its own.
DJI’s Spark is the most exciting new drone of the year. It’s roughly the size and weight of those cheap toy drones you see out there, but with significantly better flight time and performance, an automatic follow-me mode, and most crucially of all, a gimbal-stabilized 1080p camera that shoots some seriously great footage.
It was already a bargain at its $500 launch price, but its Black Friday deal just went live early, bringing it down to $400, so go earn your wings.
I sound like a broken record at this point, but here’s yet another early Black Friday deal. This 2.1 channel Sony sound bar includes a wireless subwoofer, a voice-boosting mode, and a night mode that lowers the bass and produces clearer sound at lower volumes. $148 is the same price we expect to see for the holidays, and is an all-time low by about $50.
The successor to one of the most popular mice ever made is down to its lowest price ever, while supplies last.
The Logitech MX Master Mouse comes with all the accoutrements you’d expect form a high end mouse—namely a rechargeable battery, adjustable DPI, and a dark field laser that works on glass—and a few that you wouldn’t, like a side thumb wheel for horizontal navigation and gestures, and the ability to connect over Bluetooth to three devices simultaneously.
$50 is the best price we’ve ever seen, but I wouldn’t expect it to last, so click on over to Amazon to lock in your order.
The wall charger that came with your phone just doesn’t cut it while traveling these days. In addition to probably being slow as hell, you likely have at least two or three USB-powered devices that you’ll want to charge every night while you sleep.
Luckily, Anker stuffed four USB ports and 40W of power into a tiny travel charger (with folding AC prongs!), and you can get it for $19 today with promo code AAAA2142.
Anker’s PowerLine Lightning cables have been reader favorites for years, and while they’ve since been followed up with PowerLine+ and PowerLine II sequels, they’re still fantastic cables that will last you a long time, and feel great in the process. For a limited time, get one in white for just $6 with code ANKER811, or less than 1/3 of what Apple charges for their own, inferior cable.
Own USB-C devices? Get two nylon-braided USB-C to USB-A cables for $10 with code ANKER826
Logitech’s Z313 speakers won’t blow you away like some of your top picks, but they’ll still be leaps and bounds better than the speakers built into your laptop, and you can grab a set for just $25 today, complete with subwoofer, the same price as yesterday’s Gold Box deal.
I can’t for the life of me figure out why records are making a comeback, but our Co-Op for best album to own on vinyl was one of our most popular polls ever, so I guess I’m duty-bound to report that this popular Pioneer turntable is marked down to $159 today, an all-time low.
Update: Sold out on Amazon, but still available from Best Buy.
Ring’s video doorbell lets you see who’s at the front door, even if you’re halfway across the world, and you can outfit your porch with one for an all-time low $100. That’s down from its usual $180, and a match for early Black Friday ads that we’ve seen. Every Ring doorbell can be powered via its internal battery, or wired directly to your home, so you don’t have to choose.
We don’t post a lot of wired headphones anymore, but we’ll make an exception for Bose’s iconic QuietComfort noise cancelling cans.
Both the Apple and Android version are marked down to $179 right now, an all-time low, $100 less than usual, and a match for what expect to see on Black Friday. If it wasn’t already clear, Black Friday has already started this year.
Anker’s SoundCore line of speakers have been huge hits among our readers, and you can choose from three different models on sale today, ranging from tiny to booming.
On the small end, the SoundCore Mini packs impressively loud audio into a speaker the size of half a soda can. Get it for $24 with promo code QUM7D9ED.
I suspect that most people will want to spring for the SoundCore 2, which is a true sequel to our readers’ favorite Bluetooth speaker. The main selling points here are 24 hour battery life (and that’s a conservative estimate, in my experience) and IPX5 water resistance.
And if you missed it yesterday, the rugged and powerful SoundCore Sport XL is still $14 off with code QUM7D9ED. With dual 8W drivers, this is loud enough to fill an entire yard.
Update: Now it’s the white version of the same product. The promo code still works.
Most modern laptops don’t include ethernet ports, but it’s worth keeping a dongle in your bag just in case you run into a rare situation where wireless internet isn’t available or reliable. This one plugs straight into a USB-C port, supports gigabit speeds, and is only $11 today.
A good HDTV antenna is essential gear for any cord cutter, and will let you watch a ton of football games this season for free. $17 is a fantastic price for a an amplified antenna, and you’ve got two to choose from today. The weird looking model includes a stand and a unique design, but in terms of specs, they should be pretty similar.
I’ve never been a fan of hard laptop bags, but MOBICASE, with its built-in ergonomics and plethora of smart pockets, is wooing me on the trip to Chicago it’s currently accompanying me on.
The MOBICASE was easily able to accommodate my MacBook, Nintendo Switch, external battery pack, and noise-cancelling headphones, along with all the requisite cables for my flight out here. Get it for just $89 $104 with a preorder.
Update: The super earlybird pricing is expired, but you can still get it for $104, compared to the estimated $190 retail price.
Anker’s original SoundBuds were our readers’ favorite affordable Bluetooth headphones, but they’ve since spawned an entire line of earbuds to fit every budget and lifestyle.
The SoundBuds Curve are the newest addition to the family, and are designed with active users in mind. Their ear wings ensure they stay put while you exercise, and an internal hydrophobic coating means your sweat won’t fry them. Their best spec though? 12.5 hours of battery life, which is fantastic for Bluetooth earbuds. They normally sell for $36, but you can get them for an all-time low $26 right now, no code necessary.
VPNs are in the news these days, and with good reason. So if you’re curious to sign up and start protecting your browsing history and personal data (or, you know, getting around websites’geoblocks), NordVPN charges less per month than a typical trip to Starbucks.
NordVPN has long been one of the most popular and reliable VPN providers out there, and if you sign up for a one-year membership, promo code VIP70 will drop your annual price from $69 to $48. If you’re sure you want to commit, use this link instead to get a special two year plan for $79 with code 2YSpecial2017. Lifehacker has recommended Nord in some previous guides, but if you have any firsthand experience with the service, sound off in the comments!

We’ve seen a lot of early Black Friday sells sell out quickly today, so if this is on your shopping list, I’d lock one in now.
Set up yourself up with a cozy fireplace and new TV stand in one with this one-day-only Home Depot sale.

If you don’t own a pressure cooker, today’s a great day to fix that, as Amazon’s knocked the highly-rated Instant Pot IP-DUO60 down to $80, matching the price we’ve seen in multiple Black Friday ads. While that’s not as good as a one-day $70 deal they ran at the beginning of October, it’s still $20 less than usual, and a great chance to save if you want to use it to help cook Thanksgiving dinner.
If you’re worried that you won’t get a ton of use out of this thing, note that in addition to standard pressure cooking, this is also our readers’ favorite slow cooker, and one of their favorite rice cookers too. To put a fine point on it: It’s one of the most versatile kitchen gadgets you can own. Even if you already have one, I don’t need to tell you that these make great gifts, and the holidays are just around the corner.
This 4-pack of best-selling Thermos can insulators is at an all-time-low price of just $24 today. So buy this and you can throw out those useless fabric koozies you probably got free at a wedding.
Thermos’s stainless steel can insulator uses vacuum insulation and thick walls to actually provide a barrier between your beverage and the outside world. They go so far as to claim that it will keep a can cold for up to 3 hours, and even if that’s a little bit of marketing hyperbole, what could possibly be in that can that takes more than an hour to drink?
Even during the winter months, it has the added benefit of protecting your bare skin from cold, damp cans, so you can use it all year round.
You don’t need to buy a new car to get a backup camera (which is life-changing, by the way), you just need $81, and a few minutes to run the wires. This model attaches to your license plate, and runs to a special rear view mirror that attaches in front of your existing mirror.
Oh, about that mirror...it has a dash cam built into it! Just pop in a microSD card, and you have a backup camera, plus a dual-lens dash cam to record any accidents.

Here’s what you guys had to say about it:
On my second one (got 10 years out of the first one, only replaced it because I lost it in a move). $15. Does the job. This isn’t rocket surgery. - shelwood
Yup, same here. It’s not rocket science AND even if it’s off by a degree or two, it doesn’t matter. Bacteria are killed by a combination of temperature and time, so the extra minute or two that it’s at temperature will easily make up for any discrepancy in accuracy. - Kumico
