If you haven't upgraded your home's network to 802.11ac yet, Apple's AirPort Extreme is one of the easiest ways to make the leap. There are faster routers, and ones with more configuration options and ports, but none are as dead simple to set up and maintain as Apple's.
Apple has refurbished models available for $129 right now, which is $70 less than MSRP, and $56 less than Amazon (where it has a 4.6 star review average). If you want to use the router as a time machine backup target as well, you can opt for the 2TB time capsule for $200, or the 3TB model for $300, both of which are $100 off MSRP.
