Beauty Steals
Yes, cleaning your makeup brushes is a pain in the ass, but it’s better than breakouts and skin diseases, and this $8 silicone mat can make it a bit easier. Just add cleanser to the brush heads (I use this solid one from Japonesque, but baby shampoo works just as well), run warm water over the mat, and go to town. It’s one part satisfying, one part horrifying how much stuff washes down the drain.
$8 is the best price it’s ever been. Plus, it comes with a mini mat for travel and a makeup sponge.
Tarte Cosmetics is one of those brands that is always in my makeup bag. Right now, they’re giving you up to 70% off 70 select items, no code needed. Grab limited editions of their Tarteist Lip Paint or Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush for a lot less than normal. But it only runs for 48-hours, so you’d better act quickly.
The Big Sales
Please, for your own sake, throw out those faded, stretched out t-shirts and the pairs of socks that your big toe goes through. It’ll be okay, I promise. Now head over to H&M and take up to 60% off during their one-day flash sale. Everything from tees and tanks to dresses, even jackets and coats are marked down, so there’s really no excuse.
Journelle should already be on your radar, and if it isn’t, their Semi-Annual Sale is happening right now. Good bras (read: bras that are supportive, comfortable, and attractive) are rarely under $50. But with the sale going on, you end up with brands like Dita Von Teese, L’Agent, Stella McCartney and more for up to 50% off. Plus, unlike the Victoria’s Secret trips of yonder years, if your boobs are bigger than a DD cup, you’ll actually find something.
It’s basically summer, so it’s as good a time as any to stock up on new workout clothes with PUMA’s Spring Markdowns (even though it’s summer). There’s something for every level of exerciser, and some everyday basics that you can wear just to look like you kind of workout.
When it comes to having a corner on the market, nothing really compares to Nike. And right now, use the code SUMMER20 and take an extra 20% off their sale styles for both men and women. Everything you could need for a good workout wardrobe is included, from apparel, to sneakers, to gear.
Topshop is taking up to 50% off a ridiculous amount of things, including stuff from their Unique line. My recommendation is to check out the dresses and shoes, as my experience has proven that those are the most reliable sale items.
Joe’s New Balance is the premiere online outlet for...New Balance shoes, obviously, and they’re giving you the 860v4 Running Shoe for just $40. Use the code JUNE860 at checkout and take $20 off a pair for both men and women.
Anthropologie will always be a good destination to start looking for something unique. Right now, they’re having a massive Tag Sale, which means you get up to 50% off a ton of styles without having to do a thing. Everything from dresses to shoes to home goods are marked down so there’s definitely something for everyone.
Home goods
You know those warm, dim, Edison-style bulbs you see in fancy restaurants and bars staffed by men with mustaches? Well, it turns out that they make LED version of those, and you can own six of them for $22 with promo code 3BBJHXS6. And unlike a lot of alternatives, these are dimmable, and even use E26 bases that work in any standard lighting fixture.
Cooking eggs isn’t exactly rocket science, but I’d say the ability to make soft, medium, and hard boiled eggs, plus omelettes and poached eggs at the touch of a button is worth $15. The Dash Go is Amazon’s top-selling egg cooker, and carries a truly stellar 4.5 star review average from nearly 3,000 customers, so get the red model while it’s on sale for several bucks less than the other colors.
In today’s edition of “I can’t believe Amazon will ship heavy furniture for this little money,” we have an attractive wood TV stand for an all-time low $119. At this price, it’s obviously MDF rather than actual hardwood, but it has great reviews, and looks quite nice for the price.
Tech
Mpow basically created the affordable Bluetooth headphone market, and the company’s ergonomic Cheetah line looks like a great entry in their lineup. Note that this is actually the second generation of Cheetah earbuds; Mpow claims to have improved their water resistance this time around, making them perfect for exercise.
It’s not the sexiest or more powerful laptop out there, but $500's a solid deal for a Dell with Windows 10 Pro, a 1080p fold-back touchscreen, and a 128GB SSD. The 4GB of RAM is a little lackluster, but you could upgrade that yourself later.
