If you want to stop paying your cable company $100/month for channels you don’t watch, it might be time to cut the cord. Between services like Netflix, Hulu+, Sling TV, and HBO Now, it’s easier than ever to declare cable independence, but a good antenna is still a critical piece of equipment for picking up your local broadcast stations.

Today on Amazon, the refurbished amplified Mohu Leaf 50 is down to $35 $40, an all-time low. Lifehacker readers voted the Leaf as their favorite antenna, praising its unobtrusive design and great performance, and the upgraded Leaf 50 is basically the same product, but with a USB-powered amplifier that you’re basically getting for free today. [Refurb Mohu Leaf 50, $40]

Update: Sold out at $35

USB battery packs are nothing new, but seeing a 10,000mAh model for under $10 (with code GOQL7EVL) is a little jaw-dropping.

This Kmashi unit features two USB ports, a 4.2 star review average, and enough juice to charge up most modern smartphones 2-3 times, which is perfect for conferences, camping trips, and long flights. To give you some perspective, a good deal on a charger of this size would be about $15-$16, but $9 is basically unheard of, outside of price mistakes. [KMASHI 10,000mAh External Charger, $9 with code GOQL7EVL]

Of course, these battery packs only work if you remembered to bring a cord with you.

Your life and livelihood probably depend on an assortment of USB-powered gadgets, so make sure they all stay charged with one of these discounted hubs. They’re great for your travel bag, your desk at work, or your nightstand at home, and at $20 each, you can afford to have one for each.

Mincing garlic by hand is a job that should be reserved for convicted felons, sort of like stamping license plates. So assuming you value your time and your freedom, you might want to invest in this $11 garlic press today.

The Propresser Garlic Press is made of 100% stainless steel, and has an eye-opening 4.8 star average on over 1,600 reviews. I’m in for one. [Propresser Garlic Press, $11 with code CVVRLMCF]

TOMS just kicked off their annual surprise sale, with savings of up to 70% on select styles, and free shipping on orders over $25. They only run this sale once per year, and the most popular shoes and accessories will sell out quickly, so go check out the catalog while you can. [TOMS Surprise Sale]

The UE Boom Bluetooth speaker is the best you can buy, according to Gizmodo, and Best Buy will sell you one for $150 today, or $50 off the usual price. Unfortunately, it appears the deal is only available on the Google Play Crystal Edition pictured above, but as long as that doesn’t offend your sensibilities, this is a fantastic price. [UE Boom, $150]

While it doesn’t make an appearance in our coffee gear roundup, this Takeya cold brew iced coffee maker has great reviews and an all-time low price today. [Takeya Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker, $18]

Well this is new. Meh has a pair of AA/AAA/9 Volt battery chargers on sale for $17 today. The twist is that they claim to recharge standard alkaline batteries, rather than rechargeables like Eneloops. I seems like voodoo, and I can’t vouch for it myself, but the folks at Meh claim that they tested it themselves. [2-Pack of Disposable Battery Chargers, $17]

Do you own a car? This deal is basically ~4 gallons of free gas. Can’t beat that. [$100 BP Gift Card, $90]

SONOS is basically the be-all, end-all of premium, multi-room home audio systems, and their excellent PLAY:1 speaker is $29 off today. That’s not a huge discount, but these speakers hardly ever go on sale outside of Black Friday, and even then, the discounts are pretty minimal. [SONOS PLAY:1, $171 with code EPIC3]

A pair of PLAY:1’s will play nicely with your choice for best sound bar.

The Wire isn’t just one of the best TV shows ever made, it’s probably one of the greatest works of art produced in the last century. The whole series has been remastered in HD, and you can get the complete series Blu-ray for a new low price toady. [Preorder The Wire: The Complete Series, $86]

Here’s your chance to score 20 critically-acclaimed Fox Searchlight Blu-rays in one $100 package. There’s no filler in here either; the films were all popular and well-received by critics. Highlights include:

  • The Descendants
  • Juno
  • Napoleon Dynamite: 10th Anniversary Edition
  • Sideways
  • Slumdog Millionaire

Target is the store offering the deal, but inexplicably, they don’t have a full list of included films on their product page, so head over to Amazon for all the product details. [Fox Searchlight Pictures 20th Anniversary Collection (21 Discs), $100]

The Logitech G710+ was one of your top 5 nominations for Best Gaming Keyboard, and today you can get one for just $85 right now, which is the best price we’ve ever seen for a non-refurb.

That price gets you six programmable G-keys, dual-zone backlighting, and quiet mechanical keys. We don’t expect this to last long. [Logitech G710+ Gaming Keyboard, $85]

Bonus: It’s also the same price on eBay. If you buy it there, and bundle it with another tech or gaming item (like a Steam/Xbox/PSN/eShop gift card) to take your order over $100, you can save $15 with promo code C15FATHERSDAY.

If you’re only an occasional PC gamer, and don’t want to shell out for a high end mouse, this $14 model from iClever might be just what you need. If you pay for iCloud storage, apps, movies, books, TV shows, or music from iTunes, this is basically free money. Unfortunately, this card isn’t eligible for eBay’s $15 off $100 deal, so don’t bother trying. [$50 iTunes Gift Card, $40]

If you’re still wrestling with a terrible inkjet printer at home, do yourself a solid and pick up the reliable Brother HL-2380DW monochrome laser printer today for just $85 today.

While it doesn’t print in color, it more than makes up for that with the ability to spit out 32 pages per minute, duplex printing, and inexpensive toner cartridges that can last for years without being replaced. We’ve posted a lot of Brother deals in the past, and we’ve heard nothing but good things from readers about them. Plus, this particular model has a sterling 4.5 star review average on Amazon, a built-in scanner, and AirPrint and Google Cloud Print support, so it should serve you well for years. [Brother HL-2380DW All-In-One Monochrome Laser Printer, $85]

Quirky is transitioning their online sales to third party merchants like Amazon, which means they’re clearing out old inventory on their own site to the tune of up to 70% off. Everyone knows about Quirky Cordies (in fact, we recommend them in our office gear guide), which are down to $1.50, but there are dozens of other great tchotchkies on sale, so be sure to check out the full list. [Quirky]

If you’re pressed for kitchen space, Cuisinart’s popular Griddler is actually a griddle, a contact grill, and a panini press all rolled into one compact package. I just got mine, and I used it to grill salmon on Saturday, and cook a whole pack of bacon on Sunday. I had a good weekend. [Cuisinart GR-4N 5-in-1 Griddler, $85]

Plus, you can pick up some waffle iron plates to give it even more versatility.

Ebay is taking $15 off select $100+ orders today with promo code C15FATHERSDAY, which opens up a great opportunity to save on gaming gift cards for the platform of your choice.
