If you’ve been waiting on a good deal to upgrade your home network to 802.11ac, this might push you over the edge. Amazon’s tossing in a free 1TB external drive when you purchase a highly-rated NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 router for $178. That’s not an all-time low price on the router, but it’s on the low end of its usual range, and the hard drive makes it the best deal we’ve seen. Pro tip: Plug the hard drive into one of the router’s USB ports, and you’ll instantly have some free network attached storage.

I was a longtime user of the iOttie One Touch dash mount, which you voted as your favorite over on Kinja Co-Op, but I recently experimented with a magnetic alternative, and I have to say, I love the thing.

Unlike traditional suction cup-based mounts, this Mpow Grip ($6 today with code KLQBNAWU) won’t obscure your view of the road, and when your phone is mounted to it, it’s in fact completely invisible. A big worry about these things is that they’ll cover up a valuable vent during the hottest and coldest times of the year, but I’ve found that you can stick the mount on the very top of the vent, and the magnetic plate against the very bottom of you phone, and only block a small fraction of your airflow.

The big caveat is that you’ll probably only want to buy this if use a phone case, since your two mounting options are either placing a magnetic plate between the phone and the case, or attaching a non-removable magnetic sticker directly to the phone. It’s not quite as exciting as yesterday’s WD My Book price mistake, but a 4TB Samsung hard drive for $100 is still a hell of a deal. [Samsung D3 Station 4TB External Drive, $100]

You’ve got two choices when it comes to checking on the progress of your dinner in the oven. You could poke at it with a kitchen thermometer until you think it’s done, or you could sit on the couch and wait for your phone to tell you when it’s ready.

The highly-rated iDevices Kitchen Thermometer uses two temperature probes to track whatever you have in the oven or on the grill, and connects to your iPhone or Android device over Bluetooth to alert you as soon as it reaches the proper temperature. I actually gave this to my dad for his birthday last year, and it worked as advertised.

Amazon has marked the thermometer down to just $52 today, which is an all-time low price. If you love gadgets, and you love cooking, I wouldn’t hesitate. [Amazon]

It’s officially summer, but before you head out to the beach or the pool, you’ll want to make sure your phone is safe. No matter how good Apple makes the battery life in their laptops, you’re always going to want a few more hours. And though it’s a little bit janky, ChugPlug’s external Mac battery is the best option you have right now.

The ChugPlug attaches directly to your Mac’s power brick, and contains a 4,000mAh battery to give you 3-4 extra hours of battery life, on average. It might be a little bulky to keep attached to your power cord all the time, but it’s a perfect safety net for long days away from any power outlets. The compact Ninja Master Prep Professional is one of the more versatile kitchen gadgets you can own, and its back down to an all-time low $40 today on Amazon.

Want to mix up a frozen smoothie? Chop some onions? Puree a few tomatoes? The Ninja is designed for all of that, and includes three different-sized jars and blade sets to handle your disparate kitchen duties. You can’t say that about most blenders.

Despite the low price, the Ninja has a stellar 4.5 star review average on Amazon, which would be impressive for any inexpensive blender, let alone one as versatile as this. We’ve seen it drop to $40 a few times in the past, but it tends to jump back to the $50-$60 range fairly quickly, so act fast. [Ninja Master Prep Professional, $40]

Monoprice’s MHD action cam has long been a solid option for anyone who wanted a GoPro alternative for under $100, and today, the MHD 2.0 is down to an all-time low $60. I own the original model, and while its video quality is definitely no match for a GoPro, it’s perfectly decent for such a cheap piece of kit. [Monoprice MHD 2.0 1080p Action Camera, $60]

If you’ve been meaning to set up a NAS on your home network, Woot has great deals on a variety of QNAP diskless enclosures on sale today, ranging from one bay to four. [Your Choice: QNAP Diskless NAS, $135-$255]

Of course, these are nothing but expensive paperweights without drives to put in them, and we recommend NAS-optimized WD Reds.

Your favorite stick-anywhere touch lights are on sale again. This time around, the more you buy, the more you save. Just remember that these aren’t the motion-sensing models, so they won’t turn on automatically, but they’re still great for cabinets and closets.

You’re probably most familiar with the iRobot’s Roomba vacuums, but if your house has a lot of tile, laminate, or hardwood, the Braava is the same concept, applied to a mop. We’ve never seen it cheaper. [iRobot Braava 320 Floor Mopping Robot, $110]

If your cookware collection consists mostly of of warped $10 Walmart pans, it’s time to upgrade. Amazon’s currently offering a $30 coupon on three different Cuisinart cookware sets, plus great one day-only deals on several T-Fal sets ranging from inexpensive (but well reviewed) steel and non-stick sets, all the way up to restaurant quality (not to mention stunningly gorgeous) tri-ply copper.

Amazon’s knocked several popular Studio Ghibli Blu-rays down to $17 today. These movies rarely get significant discounts, and today’s deals represent an all-time low price.
