The Best Tech Deals For February 7, 2018

We see a ton of great deals of all types over on Kinja Deals every day, but if you just want to catch up on the best tech deals, here’s everything you might have missed today.

If you’re ready to make the switch to a projector-based home theater, or if you recently picked up a portable projector, this is one of the most affordable screens we’ve ever seen. Just use promo code K8HH34FC at checkout to get it for $22.

I can’t for the life of me figure out why records are making a comeback, but our Co-Op for best album to own on vinyl was one of our most popular polls ever, so I guess I’m duty-bound to report that this popular Fluance turntable is marked down to $170 today, within $10 of an all-time low.

Wired headphones are slowly going the way of the dinosaurs, but if you’re still hanging onto your 3.5mm jacks, you won’t find a better headphone discount today than AKG’s K181s for $46 shipped, or $36 if you sign up for a new MassDrop account through this link first.

The K181's are on-ears, not over-ears, so they might not be the most comfortable for extended listening sessions, but they offer great sound quality in a compact (and folding!) package, making them great for travel. Amazon has them for $92 right now (from a third party seller), and you’ll find them for around $120 elsewhere around the web, so this is a deal worth listening to.

Own them? Let us know what you think in the comments!

Update: This deal expires on the 10th, so only a few days left to get it for Valentine’s Day.

The Greenco G Pen Elite was already one of the best vaporizers for the money at its usual $150, but for a limited time, you can get it for just $105, or 30% off, with promo code KINJA30.

Or, for just $70 with the same code, you can also opt for the smaller G Pen Pro, which should perform similarly, but with a smaller chamber capacity and less precise temperature adjustment. Either way, these deals aren’t available for long, so get in before they go up in a puff of smoke.

From Gizmodo’s review:

“Pleasant” has come to define much of my time with the Grenco G Pen Elite. It charges quickly via USB and has battery life that last for days of regular use. It also feels great in my tiny hands and fits easily in a coat pocket or a purse. The thing that takes it from “perfectly pleasant” to near outstanding is the price. It’s just $170. That’s damn cheap compared to it’s competitors. The Firefly 2 costs $329.95 and the Crafty retails for $339. Sure those products heat via convection instead of roasting a ceramic chamber, they’re much easier to pull on, and the clouds they produce are enough to fishbowl someone sitting with you, but for nearly half the price the Grenco G Pen Elite is a fantastic deal.

If, for some reason, you still have a home phone or VoIP services, Amazon’s offering the first discount ever on its Echo Connect, which lets you use any Echo device as a voice-controlled phone. Just plug a phone jack into the Connect, sync it with your contacts through the Alexa app, and voila, you can call your parents or your local thai takeout place from across the room using only your voice.

We’ve seen our fair share of USB power receptacle deals, but this $10 model from iClever (with promo code BBBBHHHH) is the most affordable option yet. Half the things you plug in these days probably plug into USB, so it just makes a ton of sense to install these around your house. Just make sure you know what you’re doing.

These Anker PowerLine+ Lightning cables are wrapped in nylon, are 6' long, include a pouch, and come with an 18 month warranty, all of which are improvements over Apple’s own Lightning cable, and that’s not even accounting for how much nicer they feel to use.

Oh yeah, and at $10 each (with code ANKER822), they cost half as much as what you’d pay at the Apple Store for an inferior product.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 tablets are a lot like Surface Pros on the inside, except they come with they keyboard cover (sporting the iconic ThinkPad key design, of course), work with some unique add-on modules, and are a lot cheaper, at least with this deal. Today only on Woot, you can get a model with a 256GB SSD, 8GB of RAM, and a 12" 1080p touchscreen for just $685 shipped.

Tile improved on its ultra-popular device trackers by adding waterproofing, customizable ring tones, increased range, and a more durable design to its new Pro series, and you can save about $6 on the sport model today on Amazon. Or, for $15 more, get a Tile Sport and a white and gold Tile Style. Functionally, they’re identical, the only difference is the casing.

This aluminum Anker stand can prop up your phone or tablet at nine different angles, and it’s only $8 today with promo ANKERSTA. If your phone just sits flat on your desk like a paperweight all day, I see no reason not buy this.

As AirPod discounts go, this is about as good as it gets. Buy Apple’s ultra-popular earbuds from Kohl’s today, and you’ll get $30 in Kohl’s cash to spend between February 9-14. We don’t expect these to be in stock for long.
