Gift-buying season is in full swing, but there’s no reason to bust your budget. We see a lot of deals around the web over on Kinja Deals, but these were our ten favorites today.
Head over to our main post for more deals, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook to never miss a chance to save. You can also join our Kinja Deals Community Facebook group to connect with your fellow deal hunters.
#1: Call of Duty: WWII
Call of Duty: WWII is a terrific shooter that harkens back to the series’ roots, and even though it’s not even a month old, you can get it from Amazon today for just $38 on PS4 and Xbox One, which is a better deal than we saw at any point on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. It might be worth that price just for the zombies mode.
Just remember that this is a Gold Box deal, which means this price is only available today, but I’d be shocked if it didn’t sell out early.
Update: You can also get an additional $5 off promo code with Twitch Prime (free with Amazon Prime).
#2: Extra 60% Off Perry Ellis Sale
Perry Ellis is sailing into the colder weather by giving you an extra 60% off their entire sale section, use the code EXTRA60. If you need a new blazer, or some slacks, or even a nice button down or flannel, this is the sale you’re not gonna want to miss out on.
#3: Echo Dot + Smart Plug
In addition to yesterday’s smart lighting bundles, Amazon is currently throwing in a TP-Link Smart Plug for $5 when you purchase an already-discounted Echo Dot for $30. You’ll have to add both products to your cart manually, but you’ll see the $25 discount taken at checkout automatically.
These switches effectively add smartphone and voice control to anything with an on-off switch, including, it must be said, Christmas string lights. I can turn my own tree on just by stating “Alexa, turn on Christmas tree” into the void.
#4: 2-For-1 Google Homes
What’s better than a Google Home?
An Amazon Echo...heyooooo!
But seriously, two Google Homes are better than one Google Home, and that’s exactly what you get with this deal. Two of Google’s smart speakers for the price of one.
#5: ThinkGeek Star Wars Sale
The perfect sale for the Star Wars fan on your list has arrived from a galaxy far, far away.. ThinkGeek is taking up to 70% off over 120 items, including that Sphero BB-8 that everyone knows and loves (and the R2-D2 counterpart). Apparel, home goods (like tiki cups or a french press), toys, and so much more are on sale, so change your plans of going to Tosche Station to pick up some power converters and get to spending your portions dollars.
#6: BReda Watches
If you don’t know about Dallas-based Breda, you need to. The watch brand creates minimalist, easy-to-wear styles of watches that aren’t overworked or over priced. And we’ve got an exclusive discount in time for the holidays. Use the code KINJA50 and grab any colorway of their sleek Zabf style watch for just $50.
#7: Hotel-Style Mattress Pads
You don’t necessarily need to buy a new mattress to get a better night’s sleep: Sometimes, a mattress pad will do, and a great one is on sale in today’s Amazon Gold Box.
ExceptionalSheets’ plush fitted mattress pad is supposedly the same pad used in many Marriott and Omni hotels, and its 4.3 star review average from over 500 customers would seem to back that up. And unlike most mattress pads, these are stuffed with Revoloft synthetic fill, which should feel a lot like down, but without the associated allergies and poking feathers.
Prices range from just $55-$73 today, depending on the size, but just note that this is a Gold Box deal, meaning this price is only available today, so don’t sleep on it.
#8: Dyson Vacuum
Dyson dominated the nominations in our favorite vacuum Co-Op, and you can pick up a refurbished Dyson V6 Motorhead from Amazon’s Gold Box for $184.
I got the Animal version of this vacuum a few months ago, and it’s seriously life changing. I use it for floors, for my furniture, and even just for dusting. You’d be hard pressed to find any Dyson vacuum for under $200, let alone a battery-powered one, so I’d take advantage of this deal before they’re all cleaned out.
#9: Ghost Paper Notebook
Even (or perhaps, especially) in the age of laptops and tablets, many people prefer the tactile experience of jotting down notes with an actual pen and paper, and the most tactile experience of all comes from the Ghost Paper Notebook.
Rather than simply printing lines on the sheet to keep your letters straight, Ghost Paper’s lines are very slightly embossed, giving your pen an actual base from which to start each character. Shane tried one of these out earlier this year and loved it, and you can get your own notebook for $5 off today with promo code 121KINJA.
#10: Heated Blankets
We’ve almost made it through another year, folks. It hasn’t always been easy, but our reward now stands before us - heated blanket season. If you don’t own one of mankind’s greatest creations, Sunbeam’s heated throws are down to just $39-$40 today on Amazon (depending on the color), an all-time low, and $10-$20 less than usual.
In addition to just sitting under one of these on the couch all day, which is a perfectly valid use for them, you can also put them under your bedspread and turn them on a few minutes before getting into bed for the night. It’ll warm up your sheets so getting into bed during the winter doesn’t feel like diving into a cold pool.
For the rest of Friday’s best deals, don’t miss our main post.
