Hunter’s classic rain boot just got a Target-style makeover.
The Hunter x Target collection, which officially launches April 14th, is full of classic wellies and newer, modern lace up boots accompanied by a ton of clothing and raincoats. It’s not that far of a leap to expect Target to partner with the maker of wardrobe staples that has been around for over 160 years.
With clothing and boot prices ranging from $10 for socks to $40 for boots and up to $45 for the more structure rain coats, it’s a fraction of what you’d traditionally pay for Hunter merchandise. It’s sleek, classic, and made to last, but at a price point that feels more approachable. Not everyone loves paying $100+ for rubber boots. If you opt to check out the home goods (think hammocks, bags, and coolers rather than vases and rugs), you’ll still find that everything is under $100.
To me, the highlights are the more stylized lace up boot, which features a canvas upper and a “dipped” rubber lower and sole, and the trench coat-style rain slicker that both look straight out of a British brand’s lookbook. The collection is something different for Target, which usually opts for the brighter and bolder wares of Marimekko and Prabal Gurung.
There’s still a month to go before it all officially launches on Target’s site, but there’s enough to look through to make a real game plan for what you’re going to want to pick up. And if it’s anything like the past collabs that target has done, things will sell out an hour after going live, so you’d better have your wallet ready.
An FYI for REDcard holders, you can get early access to Hunter x Target products, plus exclusive colors, starting April 7th.
