Digital photo frames have been around for about a decade, but the Nixplay Iris is one of the only ones that doesn’t look like butt, and it’s cheaper than ever today on Amazon.
Almost every digital frame I’ve seen includes a low quality TN panel and a cheap looking plastic frame, which makes no sense, since their entire reason for existing is to display photos and look nice. The Iris though features your choice of three metal finishes on the frame, and a 1024 x 768, 8" IPS display, which offers great viewing angles. It also includes 8GB of internal memory, and can sync over Wi-Fi with Instagram, Dropbox, Facebook, Flickr, and Google Photos, so you won’t have to fiddle with SD cards.
At $140, it’s definitely on the expensive end of the photo frame spectrum, but that’s an all-time low, and $60 less than usual. I think it’s a pretty safe bet that most parents would love to get this as a gift.
