If you like the idea of Philips Hue’s automation features, but don’t particularly care about exotic and colorful lighting concepts, you can pick up the Hue White starter kit for $50 today, about $20 less than usual, and a match for Black Friday. That gets you two soft white bulbs and a Bridge that lets you control them from your phone, or with voice assistants like Siri and Alexa.

The same kit with four bulbs is also available for $70, though it did get as low as $60 over Deals Week.

And if you missed it yesterday, the four-bulb color starter kit is still on sale for $140, or about $60 less than usual.

If any of your family members are bad about backing up their files, an external hard drive is one of the best gifts you can give them.

This 8TB Seagate Backup Plus Hub includes a 2-port USB hub right on front, so you can plug in even more storage, or just charge your phone. This feature does inexplicably make the entire drive incompatible with the PS4, however.

Seagate’s 2TB Backup Plus Slim is also a solid deal at $65. Unlike the Backup Plus, this one doesn’t need an extra power cord, so you can take it with you anywhere.

VPNs are in the news a lot lately, and whether you want to hide your tracks, or just watch videos that would otherwise be geoblocked, there are several great deals available out there to get you started.

If you can commit to five years, PureVPN is going to be your best bet at a measly $70, which works out to just $1.17 per month. PureVPN encrypts and obscures all of your internet traffic from everyone from malicious hackers to your ISP to the government, and includes some cool features like a kill switch to automatically disconnect your Wi-Fi if the VPN stops working, as well as split tunneling, which can route some of your traffic through the VPN, while letting the rest go through your ISP as normal.

You get to choose from 16 and the 20 oz. models in for this deal, in a variety of colors. The lid open and closes automatically and it can keep drinks warm all day.

Just remember that this is a Gold Box, so be sure to lock in your order before this deal cools off.

Today is a great day to get some of these very highly-rated Imarku knives. This normally-$40 10" chef’s knife is just $23 today, normally-$30 8" inch chef’s knife is just $18, and meat cleaver is down to $24.

Add to your kitchen gadget collection with today’s Gold Box sale on holiday kitchen essentials. They thrown in a bunch of spatulas, tongs, beer mugs, a bakeware set, plus some extra holiday-themed tea pots, cookie jars, and wrapping paper. So go sift through the products now, this sale will be over by the end of the day or when the products sell out.

There’s a lot going on in there, so here are some highlights:

You don’t need a yard, or even any gardening skills to grow your own food at home; you just need one of these countertop AeroGardens. Dyson vacuums dominated the nominations in our Kinja Co-Op for best vacuum, but they can be prohibitively expensive. Today though, refurbs of the popular Dyson Ball Animal Complete are down to $262 on Amazon, one of the best prices we’ve seen.

The Dyson Ball includes a brush that automatically adjusts when you move from carpets to hard floors, and seven (!!) hose tools to clean everything from your mattress to your stairs to the tops of your ceiling blade fans. And yes, it rests on top of a ball for easy maneuverability. This price is only available today, and will probably sell out early, so get yours before they’re all sucked up.

If you’re willing to forego some of those accessories (specifically, the curved ceiling fan tool, the mattress tool, and the flexible reach-under tool), you can actually get a refurb of this same vacuum from Dyson’s eBay store for just $176 with promo code PHOLIDAY20. As we mentioned earlier in the week, that code will save you 20% on anything Dyson sells on eBay, with a maximum $5o discount.

Although it’s not as good as a price it was during Deal Week, this AmazonBasics executive chair is just $91, a $19 savings from its usual $110.

Guacamole and salsa taste better when served out of a molcajete. Everybody knows this. This 4-cup model looks great, and has never been cheaper.

Anker, producer of a lot of your favorite charging gear, has its own line of flashlights too, and the high-end LC130 is marked down to $40 today with promo code XMASFLA2.

That’s a lot of money to spend on a flashlight, but the LC130 has just about every feature you could possibly want, including IP67 dust and water resistance, 1300 lumens (that’s incredibly bright, for what it’s worth), five lighting modes, and a USB-rechargeable battery that can last up to 6 hours. Even if you don’t need it for yourself, this could make a great holiday gift as well.

Nest threw out all of the old assumptions about home security systems, and built something pretty great with the new Nest Secure, and you can save $100 on the usual price of the starter bundle today on eBay.

$400 gets you the Nest Guard (the big keypad thing that doubles as a motion detector), a couple of Nest Tags that can disarm it instantly, and two Nest Detects which can monitor entire rooms for motion, and also detect when windows or doors open.

For example the Sapphire Reserve allows you to book travel directly at a rate of 1.5 cents per point, making this promotion worth a minimum of $30 in travel. And if you find a really good partner redemption (like I did for my trip to Hawaii), it could be worth a lot more.

For cleaning services, you simply select the size of your home. For handyman services, you estimate how many hours you’ll need them and note whether they’ll be inside or outside. Examples of applicable handyman jobs might be installing a garbage disposal, mounting a TV, or drywall repair. For both services, you’ll see the $30 discount at checkout.

Unfortunately, Amazon isn’t set up with providers everywhere in the country, but if you live in a covered area, this is as great deal.

The big improvement here is the brush head: Rather than the screw-on E-series heads (which have a tendency to collect sludge along the seam), the Essence+ uses standard Sonicare snap-on heads.
