PUMA’s Suede sneakers just got a kiss of color from MAC.
It’s not often that a beauty brand and a shoe brand create perfect harmony on a collaboration, but the simplistic choice of the PUMA x MAC collection is how to do it. They took two icons, MAC lipsticks and PUMA Suede 50's and created a collection of bold shoes by dunking a perfectly minimal sneaker in rich tones and adding a hit of patent leather.
The PUMA x MAC sneakers come in three colors (shades?), each named after a MAC lipstick: Lady Danger (a vivid bright coral-red), Sin (a deep, dark blue red), and Crème De Nude (a pale muted peach beige). All three sneakers feature a patent leather tongue, a scribble of patent on the back heel, and a limited edition box with the same patent leather punch. If only they gave you the lipstick to go with them, then you’d be set.
The PUMA x MAC sneakers will run you $85 each, which is obviously a bit more than the normal price of PUMA Suede sneakers, but you’re paying for the limited edition color. And the chance to literally match your lipstick shade perfectly to your shoes.
