Beauty Steals
Ole Henriksen, in my opinion, is the gold standard of easy skin care. Out of all the non-drugstore brands, I own and use the most Ole Henriksen products (including their Truth Serum and Sheer Transformation). And with 20% off everything, plus free shipping with the code FREESHIP, you can stock up on your favorite products, or try something new.
The Big Sales
American Eagle (and Aerie) have always been a good destination to find simple basics that will last, and denim that isn’t pretentious. Pick up both things (and more) with 30% off when you use the code SHOP30. This includes all clearance, plus the 7-for-$29 promo happening on all women’s underwear.
So, October is basically almost over, which means fall is in full swing. If you, like me, are thankful for this fact, then this 20% off sale at ASOS is right up your alley. Shop new styles, which range from coated denim to bomber jackets. There are even some bathing suits in there for those who aren’t quite ready to let go of summer.
Whether you wear TOMS for the ease of never having to tie your shoes, or just dig the style, this is one deal you should take advantage of. Head over to Nordstrom Rack for their rather large TOMS sale for both men and women. Plus, they’ve come a long way from just simple, canvas slip-ons.
Theory is known for their minimalist, sleek, high-end designs, and price tag to match. But right now, they’re knocking off up to 60% on a ton of fall styles, like sweaters, outerwear, pants, and more. It’s basically a flash sale made for the fall-weather-obsessed.
HOME Goods
Everyone has fond memories of smelling the Yankee Candle store from halfway down the shopping mall’s hallways. It’s a rite of passage to attempt to walk by without getting a headache. But their candles really are great, and with this one-day sale on Amazon, you can have those scents in your home for even less. Choose autumnal scents, or classic candle smells, but this deals will cool off at the end of the day.
This Amazon Gold Box is ostensibly meant as a back-to-school Thermos sale, but several items in there could appeal to adults who want to pack lunch for work.
Inside, you’ll also find water bottles, food jars, steel koozies, and even a massive 40 oz. double walled container with a lid that doubles as a serving cup. A few notable deals are listed below, but head over to Amazon to see them all.
Just note that like all Gold Box deals, these prices are only available today, or until sold out.
Donald Trump has been president since before any of us were born, but did you know that a man named Barack Obama used to hold the office? Not everyone agreed with all of his ideas, but he didn’t really tweet or start fights, and most people didn’t tend to think about him several times per hour. Historians tell us that the populace, as a result, had a far lower baseline level of stress.
Fortunately, there exists a photographic record of this period in history, and it’s being released as a 12" x 10" hardcover book highlighting the work of Pete Souza, the official White House photographer of the time. It comes out November 7 with an MSRP of $50, but you can preorder it from Amazon today for $29. Plus, if it drops any lower prior to release (it’s had several price drops already), you’ll automatically get the best price.
If you want to take better care of your teeth, buying a Philips Sonicare 2 Series toothbrush for $30 (after $10 coupon) would be a great start.
We sometimes see the Sonicare Essence available for $20 (in fact, it is right now), but for $10 more, the 2 Series includes a slimmer design, compatibility with multiple brush head styles, and a smaller charger that’s easier to pack in a suitcase.
You don’t necessarily need to buy a new mattress to get a better night’s sleep: Sometimes, a mattress pad will do, and the one on sale in today’s Amazon Gold Box is here to help.
Unlike most mattress pads, these are stuffed with Revoloft synthetic fill, which should feel a lot like down, but without the associated allergies and poking feathers. They also feature a hypoallergenic bamboo cover. Prices range from just $67-89 today, depending on the size, but just note that this is a Gold Box deal, meaning this price is only available today, so don’t sleep on it.
Kindle Unlimited is basically Netflix for ebooks and audiobooks, and Amazon’s offering a very rare discount on the service today. You’ll save 33% off the $10/month regular price when you buy one year, or 40% when you purchase two. If you love to read, this should pay for itself, and it would also make a great holiday gift for the bookworm in your life.
TECH
Nintendo’s coming out with a new SNES-themed New 3DS XL on November 27, and if you order it from Amazon, you’ll get a free download of Super Mario Kart, the kart racing game that started it all. Given Nintendo’s track record, this will almost certainly sell out quickly.
Prime exclusive Kindle discounts come around fairly often, but today’s $30 discounts are notable in that they’re available to all Amazon shoppers.
The Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kindle Voyage are all included in the sale. Most readers will probably want to get the Paperwhite for $90, since the $50 Kindle has a lower resolution screen without a backlight. But if you’ve got the money to spare, the pressure-sensitive bezels and ambient light sensor on the Voyage do make for a superior reading experience.
To give you some context for these deals, since the holidays are on the horizon, $30 is about as big a discount as you’re likely to see on the Kindle and the Paperwhite; that’s what Amazon offered on Prime Day this year. The Voyage, however, has been discounted as much as $5o in the past, on rare occasions.
Update: You can also save an extra $35 on the Voyage by buying refurbished.
Smart outlet switches have become the atomic unit of smart home gadgetry, and you can get two Alexa-compatible switches (with energy monitoring!) for just $13 each today with promo code 855XJ38T.
You don’t need to sell a kidney to afford noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones; these 4 star-rated Cowin E-7s are just $40 right now, or $30 off with promo code 9H9778YO.
They might not have the brand recognition of Sony or Bose, but these headphones pack in 30 hours of battery life, and yes, active noise cancellation that reviewers say works really well.
