Star Wars: The Blueprints | $46 | Amazon

This is the Star Wars gift idea you’ve been looking for. Star Wars: The Blueprints is the ultimate coffee table book for any fan of the series, and at $46, it’s never been cheaper on Amazon than it is right now. The book features 250 insanely detailed blueprints of the ships and locations you know and love, 500 full-color photographs and illustrations, and 10 gatefolds that fold out for an immersive experience.

Whether you’re just starting to get into anime, or want to expand an already extensive collection, Amazon’s discounting a bunch of great Blu-rays in today’s Gold Box.

Highlights of the sale include Space Battleship Yamato, the complete series of Cowboy Bebop (both the standard Blu-ray and a limited edition with two bundled art books), Wolf Children, Summer Wars, Evangelion 1.11, and the complete Dragon Ball GT, just for starters.

Have any favorites or suggestions from the sale? Drop them in the comments.

The Big Lebowski just got a 4K Blu-ray release, and you can save big on the Limited Edition today, which includes a bowling ball pencil holder and a bag that really ties the room together. $43 is a new all-time low, which isn’t just, like, my opinion, man.

Breath of the Wild is one of the greatest games ever made, so we’ll forgive Nintendo for spiking the football with a ~400 page hardcover compendium full of design artwork, commentary about the game’s development, and a history of the Breath of the Wild’s take on Hyrule.

The book only just came out, but its price has been chopped down like so many blades of grass to an all-time low $19 today. That’s not a lot of rupees for an incredible gift for any Nintendo fan.

BEST GAMING DEALS

The latest Call of Duty does Battle Royale better than PUBG, and has <shotguns a can of Juggernog> The Biggest Zombies Mode EVER. It only came out about a month ago, but Amazon is already discounting it to $33 on PS4 and Xbox One, while supplies last.

These discounted and powerful gaming computers from CyberPower PC could fool friends into thinking you built your own rig. Both $1,700 rigs are fully specced out, offering 16GB of RAM, and the powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 series graphics cards.

But, of course, there are a few key differences that go beyond the keyboard and the case. The SLC10200CPG offers an i9, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, and a 1TB SSD, while the GXiVR8080A3 rocks an i7, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, and 240GB SSD and 1TB HD for storage. Also, the former doesn’t ship with a WiFi card but that may be less of a priority for hardliners who swear by the ethernet cable.

If you don’t count the fabled PS4 Spider-Man bundle, the latest open world Spider-Man adventure didn’t see too much action on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That changed today though with a $20 discount on Amazon, the best deal we’ve seen. This will probably sell out soon, so get it in your web cart while you still can.

It’s not quite as jam-packed as Amazon’s Black Friday board game sale, but their 12 Days of Deals strategy game sale still has a lot of gems inside for anyone that loves board games.

A few of the most popular options like Sheriff of Nottingham, Stratego, Exploding Kittens, and King of Tokyo are below, but you’ll want to head to Amazon for this one, because there are dozens of games included. If you have any suggestions, be sure to drop them in the comments. Just remember that these prices expire at the end of the day.

Happy Smash week, one and all. Nintendo’s insanely huge new fighter comes out on Friday, which means this is your last week to preorder on Amazon to get a $10 Prime credit added to your account.

Just note that the code will be added to your account 30-35 days after the game ships, and that this is only available on the physical copy, not digital.

If you want to play it with a GameCube controller, as nature intended, you don’t forget to order the gamepad and a USB adapter as well.

Anki Overdrive is the smartphone-age love child of slot cars and Mario Kart, and you can save big on the standard and Fast & Furious Edition starter kits today.

From our deal researcher Corey, who owns the Fast & Furious Edition:

The Fast & Furious Edition is compatible with all other Anki Overdrive cars and accessories, and expands on the original with new cars, game modes. and movie dialogue. It’s a huge hit in our house among my kids, their friends, and especially over beers with my adult friends. There’s even a single-player mode that I find myself booting up after everyone goes home and my kids are sleep. I grind for new weapons and powerups that I later use to decimate my opponents - yeah, usually kids. There are no participation trophies in my house.

Both kits include two cars and enough track pieces to build eight different raceways, and both allow you to add new cars and track pieces that you bought a la carte whenever you want. The Fast & Furious Edition is a few bucks more than the standard today ($93 vs. $86), but the standard set is at the best price Amazon’s ever listed.

Consider this post a Hogwarts acceptance letter — that is, if Hogwarts also taught coding. Wizards who also aspire to become code whizzes can combine their interests with this Kano Harry Potter Coding Kit, now on sale for $80. Students build their own coding wand, and with just a swish and flick, they’ll see instant effects on their screen while also learning the fundamentals of code. There are 70-plus creative challenges for kids ages 6 and up to master before they can confidently say, “Mischief managed.”

If you’re anything like me, you’ll relax after a long day in front of a screen by sitting in front of another screen. Headaches and difficulty sleeping are routine—but, of course, they don’t have to be.

These gaming glasses from Gunnar Optiks promise to lessen eye strain caused by the blue light emitted from screens. Users report fewer headaches and an easier time sleeping. While this pair normally sells for about $50 on Amazon, right now you can use the code KJGUNNAR on DailySteals to bring it down to $39.

When my daughter was 2, I took her to visit her big brother at preschool. One of the first things she did was try to climb on the big kid toys on the playground, fall, and cry. But now she’s one of the toughest kids I know, so I guess that minor injury was actually a life lesson in not giving up when things get hard and refusing to give in to pain.

Teach your children those same lessons in your own backyard with the Lifetime Geometric Dome Climber Jungle Gym, $130. It’s 5 feet tall at the apex, so not high enough for most missteps to be life threatening, but it should be sufficient to yield the benefits of “risky play” that experts are always talking about. But I don’t blame you if you maintain strict supervision while your kids are on it — there’s only so much freedom most parents can give before anxiety sets in.

Board games are super fun, but they take up a lot of real estate when your collection reaches a certain size. Humble Bundle knows that we don’t all have space for a giant cabinet of amusements, so they’ve created a digital assemblage to entertain you and take up zero room (except in your Steam library, but that’s already overflowing, so a few new additions won’t hurt).

For $1, they’ll give you seven ports of games like Harald and Agricola for platforms ranging from Android to Mac. Pay $7 or more to unlock 11 more games, including Pandemic and Splendor. I’m not entirely sure about the logistics of having friends over for game night when you have to sit in front of a computer to play, but I’m sure there’s a way to make it work. The human spirit is predisposed to overcome all kinds of obstacles.

With Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft basically created the Netflix of video games, and it’s a great deal at its usual $10 per month. But for a limited time, you can get a gift card for a whole year for just $70.

Xbox Game Pass grants you access to newer releases like State of Decay 2 and Sea of Thieves, as well as classics like KOTOR and all of the Gears of War games. The only catch is that you’ll be auto-renewed at the standard rate after the year is up, but hopefully there will be another deal before that happens, right?
