Monday kicks off with an exclusive deal on Samsung’s Q7 TVs, a discounted YETI hopper cooler, over 60 Nerf guns, and more great deals.

BEST TECH DEALS
Samsung’s quantum dot-powered Q7 TV would be a stunning upgrade to your home theater, and you can score the best prices ever on three different sizes with our reader-exclusive deal from MassDrop.
You can read all about quantum dots here, but the long and short of it that they’re the backbone of a backlighting technology that can produce OLED-quality images on a less expensive LCD panel.
Okay, so with that background out of the way, Samsung’s 2018 Q-series TVs utilize quantum dots to great effect. Beyond the stellar picture quality though, you get Samsung’s new ambient mode, which blends the TV into the wall behind it when not in use, plus Bixby support, and a unique connectivity system that puts all of your inputs in a separate box, meaning you only have to run one thin cable (45' long!) to your TV, giving you a ton of new mounting options.
Our readers can snag the 55" for $1,300 today, the 65" for $1,900, or the 75" for $3,000. That’s about $300, $300, and $500 less than you’ll see those sizes elsewhere, respectively.gotten this year.
Anker makes a lot of gadgets, but noise canceling headphones were a notable gap in the company’s lineup until very recently. So if you want to block out the world with the new Soundcore Space wireless over-ears, you can save $20 right now with promo code SDCORENC.
The Soundcore Spaces run for 20 hours in wireless noise canceling mode, or you can use them wired for up to 50 hours with NC enabled, which are some of the best battery life specs we’ve seen in this market.
Given how many Lightning cables seem to wear out at the necks, it’s surprising that 90 degree cables aren’t more of a thing. You can grab two nylon braided cables for $13 from Aukey today with promo code AUKEYAL5, which would be a great price for two nylon-braided Lightning cables anyway, even without the unique connector.
The Kindle Voyage, which has been my personal Kindle for the last several years, is no more, supplanted by the Kindle Oasis. May it rest in peace. So if you don’t want to spend $250 on an Oasis, and the $129 Paperwhite doesn’t check all of your boxes, you should buy a refurbished Voyage while you still can.
Refurb prices on the Voyage tend to fluctuate between $150 and $130 (they sold for $200 new), so today’s $150 price isn’t a deal, so to speak. But still, once these refurbs are gone, they’re probably gone forever.
Before you flee the country and/or go on your next international trip, be sure to pick up this universal plug adapter for $10 with code TRAVEL2018. It’ll turn basically any outlet in the world into any other outlet type, and also includes a USB port so you can plug your phone straight in.
We aren’t sure how tight supplies of NVIDIA’s new graphics cards will be, so if you want to ensure you get one when they launch next month, you can preorder the GTX 2080 TI ($1,199), and the standard 2080 ($799) right now from NVIDIA’s online store. You can’t order the $599 2070 just yet, but you can sign up to be notified.
Update: Zotac’s GTX 2080 is also up for preorder for $750 on Amazon.
We’ve seen USB battery packs that can jump start a car, and we’ve seen USB battery packs that can charge USB-C-powered devices at full speed, but this is the first we’ve found that can do both. Get it for $60 by clipping the 25% coupon, complete with a bonus 30W USB-C wall charger. For context, that’s better than any previous deal we’ve seen on this battery without the wall charger.
This 20,000mAh battery pack from iClever includes USB-C Power Delivery, which can push up to 30W to your high-powered USB-C devices, sufficient to charge a 12" MacBook at full speed, or charge your Nintendo Switch in portable mode while you’re playing a game. There are also two standard USB ports for phones and other devices, including one with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
The battery’s other neat trick is a set of detachable jumper cables that can start a dead car battery. It’s rated for 800A, which should be sufficient to start basically any regular car engine, up to 8L (or 6.5L if it’s a diesel vehicle). People never think they need one of these things until they really, really need one.
If your PC doesn’t have a webcam, or you just want one with better image quality and microphones, Logitech’s C920 is one of the most popular standalone cams you can buy, and Amazon’s has marked it down to $45 today, within about $5 of the best price ever.
If you want to start collecting Eneloop batteries (and you should), the best place to start is the 4-pack of AAs with a charger, and you can get it for just $16 right now. That’s only a couple bucks less than usual, but it’s about as cheap as it’s gotten this year.
With its ability to work on any surface, including glass, the Logitech MX Anywhere mouse has always been a reader favorite. And today, you can save on its sequel.
All the features you know and love from the original are still here, but the MX Anywhere 2S adds in Logitech’s new FLOW cross-computer control, which lets you use one mouse to control multiple computers at once, and even copy and paste content between them. Even if you never use that feature though, it’s a great mouse with 70 day battery life, a best-in-class sensor, and easy Bluetooth or USB pairing to up to three devices. Not bad for $50, within about $1 of an all-time low.
The trusty Brother HL2380DW laser printer has long been a hit with our readers, but it was recently replaced by the HL2395DW, and the new model is on sale for its best price ever.
Compared to the 2380, the new one is slightly faster (36 ppm vs. 32), uses less electricity, and has NFC for direct printing from compatible Android phones. All the basics that have made Brother printers a hit are still there too, including duplex printing, AirPrint and Google Cloud Print support, relatively inexpensive and long lasting toner, and a complete lack of the carriage jams and destroyed paper you’ve come to expect from inkjet printers.
If you aren’t satisfied with your current printer (which is a pretty safe bet if it’s not a Brother), this is a great buy at $100.
Echo Buttons let you turn your Alexa device into a trivia-based game console, and you can get a pack of two for $15 today, down from the usual $20. Using Amazon’s game show template, you can even program your own trivia night, with custom questions.
If you need some more lights to feed your Philips Hue addiction, several styles of full color bulbs have rare $10 discounts today on Amazon, including the standard A19 bulb that you can never have enough of.
You’ll need a hub to control these, so if you don’t already have one, you can still get the two-bulb starter kit for $100, or $50 less than usual.
We’ve posted a lot of SSD deals around these parts, but I’m pretty confident this is only the second time we’ve seen a ~1TB drive fall below $140. It’s not the fastest drive you can buy, but it’ll still be a massive improvement over any mechanical hard drive. Just be sure to use promo code AD23 at checkout (must be signed in) to get it for just $139.
For one day only, Amazon’s matching its Black Friday discount on the 4K/HDR/Dolby Atmos-packing Fire TV.
While they last, you can snag the streaming box stick dongle for $40, a $30 discount, and a match for an all-time low. This is one of the best streaming devices you can buy at any price, so if it’s been on your wish list, don’t miss this deal.
If you do a lot of work on your laptop in bed—hey, I’ve been there—this lap desk can make the experience much more ergonomic for just $19 with promo code 76VMX9OY. One side tilts to bring your keyboard to a better angle for typing, while the rest can stay flat to hold documents and snacks.
Its two-tone design might not be for everyone, but $65 is a very nice price for a racing-style desk chair with height and recline control. Just use promo code WOW5 at checkout to get the deal.
The best part of the Apple Watch might just be its ingenious, easy-to-change band system. While Apple’s own straps are hilariously expensive, third party ones are plentiful, varied, and very affordable. Today, you can get a handsome stainless steel strap (42 mm model only) in the color of your choice for just $19 with promo code 78UO5H8Y.
Apple hasn’t updated the iPad Mini 4 in a few years, but if you don’t need the latest and greatest processor, and you prefer the smaller footprint, Walmart’s taking $100 off the 128GB model today, the best price we’ve ever seen.
Or, for $50 more, you can opt for the 9.7" iPad fifth generation with the same amount of storage, and a processor that’s one year newer. It’s priced at $80 below its original MSRP, though unlike the iPad Mini, there is a newer model available.
$60 for a Logitech Harmony remote is a great deal on its face, but the real reason to buy this model is the included Harmony Home Hub.
The Hub allows you to use your iPhone, Android device, or even an Amazon Echo to control everything a Harmony remote can (which is basically any piece of home theater gear you can think of). So even when you inevitably lose the included remote behind the couch cushions, you’ll still have multiple ways to take control of all of your home theater gear.
Considering the hub alone sells for $77 right now, getting the hub plus a remote for $60 is an unbelievable deal.
Bose’s wireless QuietComfort 35 noise-cancelling over-ears are basically a mute button for the rest of the world, and you can get them for $299 today, down from the usual $329. In addition to amazing sound quality and noise cancelation, they even work with Google Assistant, and as of a firmware update last week, Alexa too.
If you prefer in-ear headphones, the Bose QuietControl 30 Bluetooth earbuds are also on sale for $249, or $50 less than usual.
<Waves frantically in your eye-line to get your attention>
Those are the best deals we’ve ever seen on these!
VPNs have been in the news, and whether you want to get around video geoblocks, circumvent proxy filters, or just keep prying eyes out of your browsing data while using sketchy public Wi-Fi, reader-favorite Private Internet Access has a deal to fit your needs.
Private Internet Access doesn’t do much in the way of discounting, but they offer exclusive pricing and packages just for our readers that you won’t find anywhere else. Here are your options, and what you’d pay if you bought the same plan elsewhere:
- One month for $6 | Usually $7
- One year for $35 | Usually $40
- Three years for $90 | Not offered to the general public at all
These deals are only for our readers, but we aren’t sure how long they’ll be available, so go ahead and sign up while you can.
BEST HOME DEALS
Our readers have bought thousands of entry-level Roomba 650s, but today we’ve spotted a great low price on the upgraded 690, which adds a few welcome features.
As far as vacuuming performance goes, this should be essentially identical to the 650; the difference all comes down to connectivity. Built-in Wi-Fi allows you to schedule and start the Roomba from anywhere via a smartphone app, or even control it with your voice via Amazon Alexa or Google Home.
I know “smart” features on a lot of products are basically just an excuse to charge more, but as a Roomba owner, I think these make a ton of sense. I can tell you from experience that programming a Roomba without an app is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy, and the ability to start it remotely means you can run the Roomba while you’re out of the house, and come back to clean floors.
$280 is the best price we’ve seen since the holiday season, when it was available for $275.
Now that the end of the summer swelter is in sight, you can soak in milder weather with big discounts on outdoor furniture, decor, and accessories.
In typical Wayfair fashion, they’ve thrown in a ton of stuff, like umbrellas, rugs, patio furniture, deck storage boxes, grills, hot tubs, and more, all up to 70% off. I like this funky teardrop patio chair, modern chaise lounge, and huge selection of garden planters and decor. You have a couple of weeks to shop this sale, but it would be best to shop early before the good stuff disappears.
Let’s not beat around the bush here...this is dorm furniture, through and through. But if you or your kid is heading back to school soon, this $79 chair from Walmart can fold out into a makeshift bed or lounger, and they’ll ship it to your house for free. You even get to pick from a few different colors.
It’s a silly thing, but this $12 lazy susan might help keep your cabinets or desk looking a little neater and make them more easily accessible. Although it’s just a dollar or two off the normal price, today’s price is the best we’ve seen December.
Keep your stuff safe with one of these Master Lock combination locks. They’re all a few dollars off today for Back to School season, and you can take your pick between traditional number locks, ones with letter combinations, or this cool joystick-style one. Just note, some of these are Add-on items, so they will only ship with larger orders.
Packing cubes can make organizing clothes and toiletries for your next trip a little less hellish, and this highly-rated set of four from AmazonBasics is only $16 today, or about $4-$6 less than usual. I have a set of these, and absolutely love them.
In terms of pod-style coffee makers, nothing beats Nepresso. This Nepresso VertuoPlus makes espresso and coffee drinks, and only takes up a small amount space, making it perfect for smaller kitchens and dorm rooms. $99 gets you the machine with a 40 oz swivel-out water tank, and some complimentary pods to try. Usually priced at $150, this is a steal.
Sous-vide and the Instant Pot get a lot of attention, but I submit that the greatest kitchen innovation of recent years is actually Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice. Just 90 seconds in the microwave, and you’ve got a surprisingly delicious, perfectly cooked side dish.
These normally sell for about $2 per pack at the grocery store (and they’re worth every penny), but today on Amazon, you can get a dozen of them for about $18 when you clip the 20% coupon. Several flavors are available, but I’m partial to the Spanish style.
It’s 2018, and your lighter doesn’t need fuel anymore; it just has to charge over USB. This discounted arc lighter isn’t really pocket-friendly, but its long, flexible neck makes it ideal for lighting candles, camp fires and other awkwardly-placed flammable things. Just charge the built-in battery, and you’ll be good to go for up to 1,000 uses before you have to plug it in again.
Get it for $12 today with promo code CPVF6U5N, matching the best price we’ve ever seen.
Look around the garage at any mechanic, and there’s a good chance you’ll find a tub of Gojo pumice hand cleaner. It cuts through grease like nothing else, and you can grab a gallon of it for just $11 on Amazon today, an all-time low.
If you can’t stand yard or house work, and Amazon’s discounting several GreenWorks tools in today’s Gold Box to make it just a little easier.
Battery-powered tools like these require much less maintenance than gasoline alternatives, and at these prices, they make more financial sense as well. Inside, you’ll find a blower, an edger, a mower, and more to keep nature at bay. Just note that like all Gold Box deals, these prices are only available today, or until sold out.
Heads up, though. Some of the tools on sale don’t come with their own ion battery or charger. So, if you don’t already have them, you’re gonna want to pick them up as well.
Pets need physical activity to be healthy and to keep you from going insane with their energy. But they also need to stimulate their brains so they don’t end up chewing up furniture or inhaling their food to quickly. Amazon has three different brain-teaser-like toys for cats and dogs that your little Einstein will enjoy, even if they end up just destroying it to get the treat out.
And, just for good measure, pick up a reflective dog leash for only $4 with code V2XPHQ54.
For those who don’t need a gooseneck kettle for pourover coffee, and aren’t willing to spring for the ultimate tea maker, the Cuisinart PerfecTemp is one of the best (and best looking) electric kettles around. It’s down to $70 on Amazon right now, which is one of the best deals we’ve ever seen on a non-refurb. Just be sure to grab yours before this deal boils dry.
It’s 2018, and your vacuum shouldn’t have a cord anymore. Dyson’s V-series stick vacs have long been go-to cordless options, but the powerful new V10 is arguably the first that can truly, completely replace a corded vacuum, at least for smaller homes. In fact, Dyson has said that it’s stopped developing corded vacuums, because the V10 is that good.
We haven’t really seen many discounts on the V10 since its release in March outside of a $50 discount on the entry level Motorhead model a few weeks ago, which is still available. But now, Amazon’s taking $100 off the Animal and the Absolute models as well. All three though feature the same powerful motor, and you can’t go wrong with any of them.
You know those “Magic Erasers” that can wipe stains off seemingly any surface? They’re really just melamine sponges with a marketing budget, and you can get 20 off-brand (but well-reviewed) equivalents for just $8 on Amazon (after clipping the $1 coupon), an all-time low. I used these after moving into a new apartment last year, and they made quick work of all of the scuffs I made on the walls.
We’ve seen packs with more sponges for about the same price, but they usually ship from China, whereas these have Prime shipping, and are even eligible for Subscribe & Save. They’re also twice as thick as most of the inexpensive competitors on Amazon, so they should last longer and be easier to use.
Sheets & Giggles new bed sheets are made from eucalyptus trees instead of cotton, which is way better for the environment, and just as importantly, makes for really comfortable sheets. They’re already 10% off this month as a preorder special, but for a limited time, promo code GIZMODO will save you an extra 10% on top of that.

This Masterbuilt electric smoker makes cooking jerky, brisket, or (insert meat of your choice) as easy as dropping in some wood chips and hitting a few buttons to set your temperature. And at just $114, you’ll have a lot of money left over to buy meats.
If you do your own oil changes, or would like to start learning, Walmart has several five quart bottles of Penzoil synthetic on sale today, and you can stack those savings with a $10 rebate from Penzoil. The best part? You can do the rebate entirely online, no stamps or licking required. Just double check that the bottle you’re buying is included in the promotion, and that it’s eligible for the full $10; some oil varieties have smaller rebates than others.
BEST LIFESTYLE DEALS
I know we normally dismiss YETI products as overpriced, but at least for today, their Hopper Two 40 soft cooler is down to just $245, or roughly $100 less than usual. This thing can hold about 36 cans at a 2:1 ice to can ratio, and keep everything cold for days on end.
David Archy might not be a household name yet, but they sell some of the most popular underwear and clothing basics on Amazon, and a whole bunch of it is on sale today.
You’ll find several different cuts here to fit your style, many in your choice of either soft and warm bamboo fiber, or light and airy micro modal. I own a few of both, and they’re absolutely terrific, especially at these prices. At this time of year, my pick of the bunch would be the micro modal boxer briefs, which are a steal at under $8 per pair.
Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost water gel sunscreen is a pretty good facsimile of Biore’s cult favorite (and personally life changing) Watery Essence sunscreen, with one notable difference: It’s actually sold in the U.S.
You can read more about the water-based sunscreens in my recent review, but spoiler alert: They completely changed my perceptions about what sunscreen can be. Amazon’s currently offering a $3 coupon on three-packs of Neutrogena’s version today, in both SPF 50 and SPF 30. It’s still fairly expensive as sunscreen goes, but once you try it, you’ll never buy anything else.
You don’t need any accessories to do push-ups, that’s sort of the point. But nevertheless! The freely-rotating Perfect Pushup system reduces stress on joints and works out some extra muscle groups, so you’ll get the most out of your workout. At $20, they’ve never been cheaper.
BEST MEDIA DEALS
Add these angsty 80's classics to your Blu-ray collection for $15 today. This set includes The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Weird Science, so you can watch all the quirky awkwardness and be grateful your teenage years are behind you.
iTunes gift card discounts are noticeably less common than they used to be, so if you need more credit for apps, music, movies, iCloud storage, or anything else, buy a $50 gift card from eBay for 15% off, while supplies last.
If you’re going to buy your textbooks on Amazon anyway this year, be sure to use promo code TEXT10 at checkout to save 10% on any $100 textbook order (shipped and sold by Amazon.com), up to a maximum $50 discount. That might not seem like much, but for a semester’s worth of books, 10% savings could buy a whole lot of ramen and Natty Ice.
BEST GAMING DEALS
Today only, Amazon’s offering big discounts on over 60 Nerf guns and accessories, as well as Nerf toys like footballs and mini basketball hoops. So what are you still doing here?
Amazon just announced that it will be discontinuing its 20% preorder discount on physical video games on August 28, and replacing it with a $10 Prime member credit on select games. A $12 cash discount is certainly preferable to a $10 store credit, though it sounds like some digital games may be included in the new benefit, so we’ll withhold our verdict until we see how wide-ranging the credits are.
In the meantime though, you still have until the 28th to lock in preorders with the 20% discount. We’ve listed out some of the most popular upcoming titles on this post, but the discount should work on basically any physical game, as long as you’re a Prime member. Just note that you won’t see the discount until checkout, and you won’t be charged until the game ships.
Personally, I just put in an order for Fallout 76, which includes access to the beta.
If your desk isn’t adorned with quite enough adorable Funko figures at the moment, you can fix that right now with Walmart’s big sale. A bunch of licensed figures from Stranger Things, Star Wars, Blade Runner, Horizon Zero Dawn, and more of your favorite media are on sale for $5 or less today.
Up to this point, Nintendo Switch console bundle savings haven’t really been a thing. Right now though, Walmart’s taking preorders for the new Nintendo bundle of the Switch, plus Mario Tennis Aces and 1-2 Switch, for $359. You’re basically getting one of the two games for free at that price.
Everything you need to host a great poker night (except for snacks and drinks) is only $37 today. That gets you 500 casino-quality chips, two decks of cards, and dealer and blind buttons, all in a heavy-duty case. We have seen this go lower, but today’s price is the best we’ve seen since April.
With Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft basically created the Netflix of video games, and it’s a great deal at its usual $10 per month. But for a limited time, you can get a three bonus months when you buy a six month membership for $60. Xbox Game Pass grants you access to new releases like State of Decay 2 and Sea of Thieves, as well as classics like KOTOR and all of the Gear of War games. Even Fallout 4 is included now!
Just make sure you see the bonus months in the “special offers and product promotions” section of the product page.
If you have any notable holes in your Nintendo Switch game library, you can fill them today with rare discounts on first party Nintendo games. Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Mario Tennis Aces are all marked down to $45.
The Commodore 64 Mini finally comes out this October, and while shortages aren’t guaranteed like they would be for, say, a new Nintendo Classic mini console, it never hurts to preorder.
The half-sized scale model C64 Mini includes 64 games onboard, with the ability to add your own as well. Lock in your order now for $80, then drop your favorite C64 game suggestions in the comments below.
When these 3/4-sized Arcade1Up arcade cabinets first went on preorder for $299, we thought it was a mistake, since they were supposed to cost $399. At this point though, it seems clear that $299 is in fact what they now cost, but inventory is still limited, since they were out of stock for awhile.
Anyway, they’re all back now, and they’re still $299, so if you want one, now’s your chance.
