While we think the rebranded Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card justifies its $95 annual fee several times over, it’s worth noting that the no-annual-fee Hilton Honors American Express just launched a limited time welcome offer of its own.
Now through August 28, you’ll earn 90,000 Hilton Honors points after spending $2,000 in your first three months, up from the standard 75,000 points after spending $1,000 in your first three months. That bonus is worth $450 according to The Points Guy’s latest valuations, but if you find particularly good redemptions, it could potentially be worth more.
The Hilton Honors American Express gets you automatic Silver elite status, 7x points on Hilton purchases, 5x points at U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets, and U.S. gas stations, and 3x points on every other purchases, all of which are very solid for a no-annual fee card, even if Hilton points aren’t worth all that much individually.
