Handle Anything the Airlines Can Throw at You with Thule's Subterra Collection

When I got Thule’s Subterra collection in to test on a recent trip to Jackson Hole, I was expecting durable and utilitarian, but Thule definitely isn’t just putting spinner wheels on a roof rack here.

The star of Subterra is the 90L/30" Rolling Duffel, which goes far beyond folding open as two separate compartments... by zipping apart and becoming two separate bags. There are smaller roller bags in the line as well, but they can’t reproduce asexually.

The 40L carry-on houses a removable laptop sleeve that’s more like a full messenger bag, and can be carried using handles, the optional shoulder strap, or the stowable backpack straps.

Everything Subterra is packed with the smart features you’ve come to expect from modern luggage, like protected sunglass compartments and keyring clips, along with a slew of pockets you’ll still be discovering after multiple uses. One of our favorite features is the neon accent lining, which makes it easy to find things like the small GoPro accessories that would vanish into the black voids of your other luggage.
