This week saw the launch of Everlane’s newest endeavor to become a powerhouse of simple, low-profile clothing options: underwear.
Featuring seven styles including four classic underwear bottoms, a bra, a bodysuit and a boxer brief, the line is made of 100% Supima Cotton. It’s no lace, no mesh, and definitely no fills.
The women’s selection features a bikini, hipster, thong, and high-rise hipster in pink, black, white, and grey. The bra is a tank bra that looks very similar to the MeUndies bras that recently debuted which I very much enjoyed and wear on an almost embarrassingly regular basis. To be honest, the most promising piece looks to be the bodysuit, which looks super comfortable (read: a non-thong situation) and easy-to-wear.
The boxer brief is also paired down, with monochromatic stitching and waistband, coming in white, navy, grey, and black (where’s the navy for the chicks and the pink for the guys, Everlane?). There isn’t a pouch or breathable mesh or whathaveyou, just classic cotton.
What makes the launch most appealing is the pricing and bundle offers. Guys can grab two pairs for $28, automatically saving $8 from the $18 price of one pair, and women can pick up three pairs for $27 instead of $12 each. It’s no secret that people buy undies in bulk.
