Everlane already makes much beloved apparel (mostly jeans, we love the jeans), but now the “radically transparent” brand is venturing into sneaker territory with their newest launch: Tread by Everlane, a sustainable, unisex sneaker brand.

Tread’s first release is The Trainer, a carbon-neutral sneaker that’s 94.2% free of virgin plastic, made with full-grain leather from a gold-certified tannery, and with laces and linings made of recycled plastic bottles. “Designed to be worn every day—and actually made to last. Our leather trainer is the lowest impact of its kind: less waste, less energy, and 54% less virgin plastic. We’ve also offset the emissions we can’t eliminate—yet,” reads the product description on the site.

The Trainer, available in men’s and women’s sizes, doesn’t feature any apparent logos and looks just chunky enough to be fashun without veering into straight-up hideous. The shoe retails for $98 and comes in seven colors: Black, Off-White, Navy, Grey, Glacier (a bluish-grey), Blush (a pale pink), and Butter (a golden brown).

Ever the buzzy brand, Everlane launches often prompt a mad dash to checkout. We’ll be getting a pair in soon to test out ourselves, but if you want to go ahead and get your hands, er, feet on the hue of your choosing pronto, they’re available for purchase starting today.
