I’ve found my last weekender in the 100% neoprene Landon Carryall from Dagne Dover.
I took this guy for a spin while home for Mother’s Day and I felt like Mary Poppins, easily packing down item after item after item. There is so much room and so many pockets in this thing, I almost felt like I had to bring more than I needed just to fill it.
With its dedicated laptop sleeve, I didn’t have to worry about my computer tipping over in the bag and sticking out at an awkward angle. The included shoe bag let me chuck sneakers in with my outfit for the weekend without worry. The phone pocket on the outside allowed me to easily access my phone and headphones, instead of digging around and further wrinkling my clothes.
I got the Large size (16.5” L x 9” W x 11” H), though it comes in Medium and Small if you’re looking for a more everyday bag. Even though the Large has up to a 24" opening at the top and can fit an entire weekend’s worth of stuff, it didn’t look comically large, even on my 5'1" frame.
The only issue I had was that because of the extended zipper, it made it slightly cumbersome to unzip while on my shoulder, and that led to some coffee spillage on my commute. But, because the Landon Carryall isn’t leather or waxed canvas like a lot of other weekenders tend to be (neoprene is washable and quick-drying), it’s easy to clean if you happen to spill or set it down in something gross on your trip.
