Astorflex’s Greenflex Chukkas were the first product I ever got from Huckberry, and still the best chukkas I’ve ever worn. Naturally, we were psyched when we saw they were expanding to Chelsea boots and sneakers.
It all starts with premium European leather that’s aged for 30 days in an all-natural mixture of water, oak bark, and powdered mimosa. The leather is then softened with all-natural ingredients to produce a suede leather that is supple and environmentally friendly. The boot is finished with 100% natural rubber soles that feel like walking on a cloud.
Astorflex’s Chelseas are immediately and continuously comfortable and easy to slip on, and it doesn’t hurt that they were handmade in Italy either. Chelsea boots tend toward more shiny leathers, but Astorflex’s signature matte suede is far more versatile.
While Astorflex’s foot support is second to none, be aware that their shoes will likely be some of the heaviest you own, and have proven to be some of the most durable I’ve ever owned.
