Amazon Just Launched Its Final Wave of Device Deals, and Some Are Better Than Black Friday

We thought Amazon was just about done with discounts on their own gadgets for the year, but a bunch of new deals launched this morning, some of which are actually better than Black Friday.

The biggest highlight is the Echo Show for $150, an $80 discount, and $30 less than its Black Friday price. That might have something to do with its on again, off again (currently off again) relationship with YouTube.

The Echo Plus, which acts as an all-encompassing smart home hub, is also back down to $120, a $30 discount. It even comes with a Hue White bulb that it can control natively. The standard Echo and Echo Dot are still on sale, too.

Don’t forget that you can still get a TP-Link Smart Plug for $5 with any Echo purchase. Just add it to your cart to see the discount automatically.

The Fire TV line is back on sale as well, with a small-but-rare $5 discount on the Fire TV Stick, and a $15 discount on the 4K/HDR/Dolby Atmos Fire TV. That’s only the second deal ever on the Fire TV, and it wasn’t discounted at all during Deals Week, though it was priced at $50 as a Gold Box deal last weekend.

Forgot to pick up a tablet or six this holiday season? Amazon’s are surprisingly decent, and back on sale starting at just $30 for the Fire 7. Personally though, I’d pony up the extra $20 for the Fire HD 8, which has a better screen, twice the storage, and 50% more battery life.

And last but not least, you can relax and escape from it all with $20 off either the Kindle or the Kindle Paperwhite. You should probably get the Paperwhite, frankly, if only for the sharper screen and backlight.
