Amazon's Offering Rare Prime Day Deals on Their Best Gadgets, Today Only

On any given day, it’s not uncommon to see deals on a few of Amazon’s first party gadgets, but the discounts are usually modest, and relegated to less popular products. Today’s not any given day though: It’s Prime Day, and the deals are bigger and broader than we’ve ever seen.

The star of the show here is the shockingly great—and rarely discounted—Amazon Echo for $50 off, one of the best deals we’ve seen. This thing was awesome when it first came out last year, and it gets better every week. I got one a few months ago, and don’t know how I’d live without it now. The less-beloved Amazon Tap is also $30 off.

The undisputed king of Black Friday 2015, the Amazon Fire tablet, is also down to an all-time low $33. Is it a great tablet? No. Is it still an amazing piece of technology for cost of a few lunches out? Absolutely. The 10" (and much faster) Fire HD 10 is also on sale for $150, an all-time low by $30.

You can also save $30 on the newly refurbished Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite, or $50 on the Kindle Voyage. We see $20 discounts on the lower end Kindles pretty often, but $30 is less common. The Voyage, while only marginally better than the Paperwhite, basically never gets discounts.

Update: You can now get a refurbished Kindle Voyage for $130, or $20 off the price of a new one.

The entire Fire TV line is also on sale with abnormally large discounts today: $15 on the Fire TV Stick, and $30 on the 4K Fire TV, along with all of its associated bundles.

And in case you missed it yesterday, you can still score all the Amazon Dash buttons you want for just $1 each, complete with a $5 Amazon credit on your first press. Yes, that means that Amazon is literally paying you to use them.
